Q: Well is really having a great run and I will soon need to trim my position. Any reason for todays almost 4% gain?
And what would be a good oportunity / alternative to invest in when I trim.
Thanks
John

Q: Good evening,
Due to an oversight I have three dividend paying US equities in my cash account. These dividends are subject to withholding taxes.
I’m not sure if this is up your alley but can these stocks be switched with Canadian dividend stocks (of equal value) in my RRIF?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Q: Could you please provide your thoughts on the latest quarterly report from Allied Properties. Is the fair value loss of $78 million on investment properties and investment properties held for sale a paper loss at this point only to be realized after a sale? Thanks.
Q: Thoughts please on the CLS quarter?
Thx

Q: Hi There,
Do you think both these have run up too fast and one should wait for a pull back or are they buyable here for long term hold?
Thanks!
Rob

Q: I noticed that you have increased AEM to a 4.0% weight. If someone is just starting to buy some now would you say it is best to start at a 2% weight and then increase or buy 4% now?
Thanks

Q: Hello
Could you comment on REAL earnings?
Once the dark cloud of interest rate hikes subside it appears REAL may grow again, at least that is what management seem to be saying? Do they have enough cash to to holdout until then?
Many thanks for your expertise
Stephane

Q: Tonight, I saw on TV that TD has become the target of short sellers.
Is this something to be worried about?

Q: can you suggest some good CAD and US listed stocks that have good exposure to the water theme that I can do some further research on. It seems water is a very precious commodity with our changing climate issues.

Q: David Rosenberg has recommended a mix split nearly evenly among long-dated US treasuries, high-yield bond and high-paying dividend stocks for investors seeking a favourable return with reduced overall volatility. My questions are:
1) are long-dated US treasuries the same as bonds?
2) how long would you go?
3)could you recommend a long-dated US treasury ETF and a high-yield bond?
thanks

Q: Hi 5i,
I am turning 72 and moving from an RRSP to a RIF and think this portfolio should be more orientated towards income.
In that light I wonder if you could suggest some replacement stocks for the non dividend paying TMUS and DIS on the US side of my RIF? Thanks as usual for you help.
David

Q: Is WealthSimple covered by $1M insurance from the Canadian Investor Protection Fund i.e., cash and registered accounts are very safe as assets are kept separate from the management company? Thanks.
Q: This person took the words right out of my mouth, as the saying goes. Well done 5i
"Q: You have taken some heat on WELL and some other small caps, so I thought we would throw in a comment for some balance. In mid March I was thinking of taking a flyer on FRC and you were very cautious about such an idea. You said, and I paraphrase, 'we don't like stocks than can potentially go to zero'. That was enough to keep me on the sidelines. Now, FRC is down about 65% since then, and might not make it through the weekend. I wanted to thank you for your advice, and sometimes the 'don't buys' are good as or better than the buy ideas. Thank you for your service and keep up the good work."

Q: Where do you see Costco in the near future? I think we all know they have a good moat and successful business model but I’m concerned they will be hit by consumer slowdowns and they are already pricey. Their recent past is frequent oscillation in a range.
Q: In yesterdays webinar it was reiterated that the $540m financing package (50% from Economic Development Canada) would be finalized in early May.
Major shareholders include Sibanye Stillwater, Sprott, Lundin, Osiko as well as insiders.
Permits are expected Q2 for tree cutting, other permits in Q3/Q4, and the final permits Jan. 2024.
Why do you think Genm languishes at a $100m market cap at this stage of development.
Thank you
