Q: I read with interest your recent response about high risk stocks for conservative investors. Me, becoming more a conservative investor (as I enter my 80's but still like growth....hahahaha). I currently own all four companies in the energy portion of my family portfolio.
That being said, I'm in the red and very disappointed with FRU.CA's performance of late and looking at selling FRU.CA and with the proceeds, adding to my existing positions of MEG.CA, CVE.CA or TVE.CA.

Q1. What are your thoughts on FRU.CA

Q2. Which of these three stocks (MEG.CA, CVE.CA or TVE.CA offers the best risk/reward at this particular time,

Q3. Is there another energy stock that you prefer and would wholeheartedly recommend.

Q: I am considering increasing my Canadian Bank exposure. I know timing is never perfect, but given the recent pullback in Cdn Banks, and the headwinds going into a potential recession, is this a good time to buy RY, TD and BNS, or would you wait and see what plays out in next 3 to 6 months?

Q: Regarding diversification, do you know insight as to why most professionals recommend diversification, however, Warren Buffet (arguably the most successful investor of all time) has previously said "diversification is—as practiced generally—makes very little sense for anyone that knows what they’re doing...it is a protection against ignorance.".

Yet on top of this, BRK.B has almost 50 holdings according to the 13F Portfolio Filings (although AAPL represents 50% of the holdings). Thoughts or opinions?

I believe in management and the long-term prospects of AP.un, so I want to hold on long-term.

On a couple of conference calls management has indicated there will be a large taxable event for unit holders because of the data center sale. I assume this will be a capital gain which may be a ROC of just a plain taxable capital gain. In any event, would it make sense to sell my units now resulting in a large capital loss and then buy the units back after 30 days. The loss will more than offset any gain the company would declare. If it’s a return on capital, I would use the loss to offset other gains in 2023. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Do you anticipate much change in the unit price over the next 45 days? What do you think of this REIT long-term (3-5 years)?

Q: hello 5i:
would Operating Cash Flow be the best metric to use when valuing this company? If so, I see that historically, they've traded for long stretches of time for a ratio of under 6.0. Would you then agree that something under this ratio would present good value? If Adusted (Operating) Earnings is the best metric, would a PE of 20 or less be a good value to buy into?

Q: You'll probably get a lot of questions on NVDA's earnings. My question is on the announced $25B stock buyback. Is it me, or is this absolutely insane given the price to book valuation? Doesn't this lower the book value per share?
