Do you know what decisions were made at yesterday's special sharholders meeting regarding share consolidation ? Also has anything else come up that would be worth mentioning and do you still consider the stock to be undervalued ?
Q: As an owner of both the above companies, I wonder your thoughts of ENGH going after STC via acquisition for the UCaaS software, and spinning off the rest of the hardware and services side?
It's not their style, but I think value could be had for both here. ENGH could use debt to finance it, and use the proceeds of a spinoff to pay down / off debt.
Would a transaction like this make sense? I personally would love to see ENGH make larger buys given their cash generation.
UCaaS seems like a good opportunity to braoden for them.
Just trying to get both of these companies going again....
Q: Are you in favor of the reverse split and US listing that Sangoma is proposing, does it make you anymore bullish with it having a broader access to investors? STC has been dropping since early this year and never really recovered from the acquisition. I see you've mentioned it again recently after it not being mentioned for a while.
Q: Hi, for my TFSA I primarily hold small dividend with steady growth companies, to keep things somewhat stable. STC is the exception. I have room for one more company.
With that in mind could you suggest 3 stocks that may fit in with what i already have, keeping sector diversity in mind. ( I also have ATD.B in another account)
Thanks, really enjoy your platform and service to the small investors.
Q: I am overweight in Canadian tech and would like to reduce my holdings. please list in order of confidence for long term capital appreciation, high risk tolerance.
Q: Hi folks..thoughts on news that Sangoma going to consolidate shares (23 Sept vote) to pursue a U.S. Listing...and are U still comfortable that Sangoma & Star2Star Technologies are good fit?? Pre-lim results seemed good, and I think audited results are due in Sept?...Should U wait to see how consolidation..& Q results appear, before starting/adding to position...Buy,Hold or Sell...Thanks as always, jb Piedmont QC
In your last response about Thinkific you mentioned that $14 would be a great entry point. Has your opinion Changed.give the soft guidance and slight miss last quarter? Or do you see lots of future growth ahead. Increasing ARPU and higher AAR. The BMO analysts initiated coverage stating this was the “Shopify” for content creators.
If you had limited funds how would you rank new dollars comparing converge and sangoma in the mix. In fact, I’m interested in why you haven’t taken more of an interest in converge given your interest in CSU, TOI, WELL, OTEX, etc.
Their acquisition play book has been incredibly effective, simple and repeatable. Their mandate around management stock purchase and decentralized structure is setup very similar to CSU.
Q: If you wanted to buy 3-5 small or micro stocks as a speculative’ish basket, looking for a home run within 5-7 years, what would you pick? (Any sector and US or Canada)
Q: Hi 5i
In watching the performance of my TFSA, I am not liking the 2020/2021 performance direction and momentum.
The combination of 2020/2021 has been dreadful for holdings such as USA, XBC, STC and QST.....and has significantly affected total portfolio performance.
In the mix are also TF, AQN and FSZ; all for income but was expecting some level of growth.
It was good to be holding ECN but the % was too low to make significant benefit.
With QST and USA both down 60% from original purchase, does one just continue to hold for performance recovery; Business fundamentals and potential take-out (QST) and mine performance and silver price recovery (USA)?
Making a switch from one horse to other has rarely worked for me. Does any of the companies make you say sell and move on or just hold through the already low price positions?
XBC is obviously not expected to reach $11.00 any time soon as the company no longer looks like the one that reached $11.00 earlier this year. They have a good business mix in segments that make sense today. Does one just hold on for Management to get their act together and run off the negatively contributing contracts?
Q: I have a small position in both of these companies. Based on recent updates for both, what are your thoughts on their growth potential and would you add to these positions today?
Q: We have very little tech. exposure in our portfolios as a % - so minimal. Own IGM & ARKK in USD portfolio - IGM for 4 years - done very well. In TFSA, own STC, VHI, XIT ETF. All the others are on my list to purchase as not. I would buy equal positions - so, of those we do not own which three would you consider the best in the short and long term. I am mostly a dividend grower investor - companies that increase them every year; however, trying to add a bit of tech. Maybe there others not shown that meet my criteria?
Q: Hi folks...Sangoma taken a beating recently below $3sh...opinion of n/r of pre-lim results of $167M Revenue & $30M Adj EBITDA..& positive sounding guidance going forward??....do you still like company. and would you start position/add below $3sh....thanks as always, jb Piedmont QC
Q: Hi 5i team, we would like your advice on risk and potential and which one is buyable today for a long term investment? Thanks always for your superb advice.
Q: I hold BBTV, XBC, STC, MBCN & THNK Stocks they are all down from the time I bought them. Unfortunately, they are all in registered accounts so I cant claim a loss. Each of them is about 1% of my portfolio. Which one do you think I should sell and in which order I should sell or do you still think they are still worth holding for few years.
Q: Hello. I am looking to add a name or two that has been weaker over the last month or so that offers some good value and above average prospects. Could you please suggest a couple names in both US & Canada that look interesting here? PS I have enuff financial exposure currently too. Thank you
Q: I am thinking of adding a small position in my TFSA with either a combination of QUIS and STC, or
A single position in CTS. Which alternative would you recommend?
