Q: Hello 5i,
Zim. once the darling of the stock reporting media now seems to turn out to be a goat.
1. Was it a "pump and dump" scheme or does it still have legs after this present mist clears?
2. Is there any news as to why it has dropped so much so quickly?
3. Should I just move on or leave it and collect the dividends until its resurrection?
Please take as many credits as needed.
thank you
Stanley

Q: HI 5i,
Interested in your thoughts on the FPX news release from today, announcing the results of its study to evaluate the production of nickel sulphate for the electric vehicle battery supply chain from FPX's Baptiste project.
How much more compelling does this announcement make the company as an investment? The CEO has stated that it does not expect the project to actually be producing nickel until 2029.
Thanks,
Tom

Q: Hi,
Mr. Jeremy Grantham is predicting that the bursting of this current Super Bubble is almost here! Though reading his newsletter I couldn't find any specific date. His prediction is based on Fundamental analysis though some Technical Analysts have predicted the capitulation is not here yet as well. It seems that there is a convergence of these two seemingly opposing disciplines.
Any thoughts on Mr. Grantham's predictions?

Q: Just got to say while I do the trading and the paperwork or spreadsheet updates, it all comes down to what you do...analyzing the stocks and then sharing on 5iR your convictions about them. Also sharing your knowledge/insight about this and that about questions I'm wondering/pondering about. So really, you are the lynchpin behind my successful portfolio. Much thanks.....Oh yea, keep "motoring", eh?! .......Tom
Q: Is there a site which lists the preferred share reset dates for the TSX. If not is it possible for you to list a few that reset after October 1 and rank them from best to worst?
Thanks as always, Bryan
Thanks as always, Bryan
Q: The Harvest Healthcare ETFs appear to be a good way to diversify into American healthcare and get a "healthy?" income too. The MER is a bit high.
In a small very conservative TFSA would this make sense? Are there concerns, flaws, issues with this particular ETF series to watch out for?
Thanks

Q: To my knowledge cancer is showing no signs of going away and yet these companies and others in the field have been punished with the rest of the market. Can you please provide an attractive entry point for each and state which 1 or 2 would be your favourite and why? If you can add one additional name that you think has tremendous potential in this field I would be appreciative. If that requires a second credit go ahead and take it!

Q: I am looking at your answer to evaluating investment quality of REITS in which you note three important ratios to consider - Interest coverage ratio (EBITDA/interest of 3X or higher)), debt to equity - below 1.0x) and NOI or net operating income. I see you give EBIT margin and Net Profit margin in your company profiles but I was wondering if it was possible to calculate NOI from these tables. Are there any other important ratios one could use to compare various REITS. Finally, how would you rank the three REITS I have noted here. Thanks.
Q: Your opinion?

Q: The 80 cent special dividend in the question on Sept 7 was covered by Jeff Tonken in the May 11 report - it will be quarterly and "at least 80 cents".

Q: Hello 5i,
I read a response to a previous question, which suggested investors who own their home already have sufficient allocation to the Real Estate sector. Just want to make sure I understand correctly before eliminating the sector from my watchlist.
Still, if I was to include a couple of REITs, what is your opinion of CAR.UN and AMT?

Q: Hello Peter,
Other than nice dividend, do you see much growth in pembina pipeline and would you consider it as long term hold? Also, as IPL , do you see potential takeover for PPL? I already own ENB, and TRP. I own some PPL and want to add more.. With respect to IvanHoe Electric, do you think it is too early to jump in? Thanks very much

Q: Could you suggest a few dividend focused ETFs for a taxable account to 'park' money that will not be needed for a few years ? I purchased UTIL because I liked its holdings but am concerned about its trading volume. I already own XEI and ZDV.
Q: Please recommend 3 oil and gas producers in each category of small cap/mid cap/large cap.
