Q: Good afternoon all;

I have a developing opinion (still sorting it out) that it may be time to increase overseas holdings; I have underrepresented them significantly in the past 5 years. I am particularly looking at the African and SE Asian (ex China) economies. While I understand these may not be questions fully in your wheelhouse, your views would be appreciated.

- Do you concur that, subject to Black Swan events, we could expect overseas economies to outperform Canada in the coming few years?
- What geographic areas would you put focus on?
- Do you have 2 or 3 ETF's that may suit such a strategy? DGS is one that has peaked my curiosity.

Thanks for your assistance as always.

Q: Hi there, do you have a view on any specific emerging markets (eg single countries) that are particularly investable right now? Ideally accessible via a targeted ETF. Thanks as always!

Q: How would you rate these firms/etfs from a growth potential, financial well-being and diversification perspective. My portfolio is currently 40% MAW104 with bank, insurance, pipeline, and telecom stocks making up the remainder.

Q: The Brazilian Real currency took a big hit since COVID started and with the countries' recent events, the pain likely is not over quite yet. I wanted to know if there were an ETF that would give me access to a potential recovery of the country's economy as well as their currency's recovery (as it is now 4.54$ real for 1$ Canadian or 5.71$ for 1$ USD ). I currently do not own any emerging market ETF for my locked in RSP. I have seen EWZ recommended a few times on here and wanted to know if it was a good option for this goal or if 5i had better recommendations as of today. And would a 5% allocation be too much? Thank you!

Q: I'm currently trying to diversify my RIF account for 2021. I've trimmed some over weight holdings to free up some cash. I have NA covered with stocks in Canada and a couple of ETF's for the US but, nothing for the rest of world.
How would you currently rate the above now, hopefully for the coming recovery post COVID. I note, South America is not represented. do I need to consider it separately?
I'm inclined to go with 2 positions @ about 6% ......your opinion please!
All the best to you and everyone at 5i for the new year!

Q: Hi, current in my portfolio of 13 stocks + 2 ETF I have some good performing stocks that are > 5% position, TXN is 10.3%, DIS is 8.40%, EWZS is 9.37% and ADM is 8.54%. 25% of my holdings are in TECH (3 stocks + 1 etf). Do you feel comfortable with keeping these stocks with current positions or could I trim it to reduce risk ? I don't have many exposure to financials and consumer cyclical sectors. Can you suggest me growth stocks in these 2 sectors in US and CAN ? In healthcare I have only ABBV, I would like to have other good options here for growth and medium risk. I have +20 years horizon.

Q: Hello, looking for emerging markets, ETFs you recommend ex China and ex India (as I already hold INDY and FXI). Also looking for non-Canadian REIT ETF recommendations (I hold XRE). Finally what are your thoughts on preferred share ETFs and which would you recommend (Canadian or not) outside of CPD.
Thanks!
