Q: Not only are preferred share ETFs seeming to hold their stability well of late but they're outperforming just about any other ETF I own, be they Canadian dividends, US tech, or international. Obviously, there's a market reason for this. Would you know it and whether it's likely to continue?

I beleieve peferred shares have been sliding into an interesting buying oportunity. I would like to find and etf or mutual fund that is mostly in the rate reset category. I know of CPD.CA but I believe this one is mostly regular preferreds. Any ideas?

Q: Hello, looking for emerging markets, ETFs you recommend ex China and ex India (as I already hold INDY and FXI). Also looking for non-Canadian REIT ETF recommendations (I hold XRE). Finally what are your thoughts on preferred share ETFs and which would you recommend (Canadian or not) outside of CPD.

Q: Hello 5i Team
Is there a website where I can download the CUSIP and/or ISIN for Canadian Preferred Shares and/or other securities?
I am trying to analyse the holdings of CPD/RPF/ZPR and each one presents the holdings with different information (CPD has the CUSIP, RPF has neither, ZPR has the ISIN), none of them indicate the underlying TSE stock symbol and the security description is extremely truncated (mostly company name).
Some of the company websites have the CUSIP and/or ISIN, however the majority do not. Short of emailing the investor relations department do you suggest any other means?
How successful are you in receiving answers from investor relations representatives?

Q: Preferred Shares

Upon reviewing the holdings of the four (4) largest preferred share etf, I have noticed the majority of preferred shares are issued by the banks, insurance companies, electrical utilities and pipeline companies. I am a holder of the common shares of the same companies (as they are stable long term dividend payers).
The first question I have is am I increasing my "company" risk by holding both common and preferred shares of the same companies? Should I continue to buy the common shares, which are paying very close to the available preferred share yield and gain long term from dividend increases.
The second question is of the four etf listed, which is your preferred etf. Are there other Canadian Dividend eft I should look at?

Q: G'Day! RBC GAM recently launched an actively-managed Canadian preferred share ETF. (Symbol RPF). Mgmt fee = 0.53% Do you see this as a suitable product for an over-65 income investor?
