Q: Where would 5i see things in terms of an ideal cash level in a portfolio today? Fully deployment or is there a % you would reserve in cash for opportunities in a bad day/week/month? Would you agree that volatility should be expected in the months ahead based on Trump's comments moving the market as they did in the past?
Q: Trump said he would pay down Debt and Lower Taxes
How about this ? Pres Trump will put on Tarrifs , What if he applies ALL Tariff Money raised against paying down U S Debt. It is like a tax on American Consumer anyway and in this way he pays down U S Debt ,
Is that idea too much off the wall ? I think it is a great Idea ,
Q: I know you have had mixed commentary on these two. Questions:
1. On BCE, do you think the dividend on common shares is "safe" (I own it for the dividend ... capital appreciation is less of a concern) Would I be better off simply selling my common BCE shares and buying some BCE preferred shares (and if so, which one). Or should I sell it and buy something else with more upside ?
2. SPB announced a major cut to their dividend this morning. And based on my reading, the latest quarter was less than staller. What are your thoughts on this one overall given this news?
I hate being reactionary but I'm down over 20% of both of these ....
Q: My son moved to the USA a few years ago and has opened a Roth IRA upon which I am advising him. He holds the ETFs listed above. I have two questions upon which I would appreciate your advice. In which order of preference would you add to the existing holdings? And can you suggest two additional ETFs to complement the current holdings?
Q: I am anxiously waiting a correction to buy these two companies before the year end, given their recent spectacular rise. Is it a realistic approach ? or would you consider a good move to take action now as soon as possible?
Q: I will appreciate it if you could provide your perspective on NPI.
What are the future prospects since the new Government in USA is not friendly for the likes of NPI and BEPC.
Is NPI a hold , sell or an opportunity to average down.
Thanks

Q: Parkland was once your favorite stock. With the recent price drop, it now offers a 4.39% dividend yield. Do you think the stock has the potential to rebound and remain a good dividend investment? I appreciate your insights.
Q: What is your opinion on using trailing stop loss orders to protect unrealized gains?
If used, is it better to set a trailing stop as a percentage or fixed amount?
If a percentage, what percentage below the current price would you recommend?

Q: Lots of volatility based on the election results. This may be too early to ask, but are there any stocks that have risen (or fallen) too much on fundamentals as a result of the election? Looking for potential sell (or buy) opportunities if you think appropriate.
