Q: Hi Team,
With weak growth shown from crm , and being that I am already tech heavy, would it be advisable to sell crm to add to propel and Eqb ? Both growing much faster with much cheaper valuations ; but in banking sector instead of tech . However in the alternative banking sector which seems to be much higher growth than the traditional banks currently .
Q: Hi 5I. My largest holding is TD and I am going to reduce it by a third. Reasons are mainly concerns of future US growth because of the money-laundering stain. The potential fine is not as concerning as being shunned by investors resulting in stunted growth in the US. With the proceeds I was thinking of adding to my RY holding and taking a position in IFC. Or should I be looking at another big 6 such as NA or ...? Thanks in advance.
Q: Hello Peter,
Other than Jason Donville's negative comments on Propel, could the insider selling be another reason for downward movement of the stock. I do find it surprising that insiders sold quite a bit, at much lower than the peak price. Could this be due to the stock options being vested on that particular date? I would appreciate your comments and thanks for prior responses. Here is the site i am referring to
Q: Propel continues to drop post earnings despite very good earnings and outlook. What do you make of this? I saw some insider sales recently but I assume that is to be expected after a large run up? Should I keep accumulating in this range what is the forward valuation now? Thanks
Q: Sorry to ask again but I am puzzled. You had indicated a forward PE of 10.5 for propel holdings. Mr Donville mentioned in an interview stock is now expensive. How is a PE of 10 for small cap growth company expensive? Much appreciated.
Q: Hi, Propel stock chart looks horrible and stock can't seem to find support. Stock is now down 25% after the earnings release ( $29.89 to $22.40), after a strong quarter.
Mr Jason Donville commented in a recent interview that they were buying the stock at $6-$7 level, last year and they have been sellers for past few months, as stock has become expensive. This could also be true with many other early investors.
Propel has a market cap of $750 mln and is still relatively small cap. Do you believe that its multiple could grow, despite its size/sector risks and stock could trade higher ?
What is your advice for an investor who bought in at $22-$25 level ?
Q: Hi 5i, Reviewing some of your Growth portfolio holdings (as well as SHOP) for adding to our TFSA's for 2024..
Of the above, could you please rank them for 3-5 yr purchase, with your reasoning for same.
Thanks for your input.
T.
Q: Hi, Why the Propel stock keeps dropping, despite excellent results ? Now, seems like, it has broken below the $25 support level ( recent gap up after earnings ) and is down $6 or, 20%, from the post earning bounce. Is it worth accumulating around $23 ? Thanks
Q: Hi, We own RY/CM/GS- 12% , IFC - 2.75% and PRL -1% among Financials. In addition, we bought EQB - 1% position at $85, based on strong analyst commentary, a month ago. We need some cash to raise and were wondering if it is necessary to own EQB or with about 15% weight through above holdings, we can let the EQB go.
Q: All of the above companies have now reported thier respective quarterly results in the last two weeks and their respective prices adjusted accordingly.
I appreciate that all have been suggested by 5i in response to numerous and varied questions. Based on your overall assessment, the recent results and forecasts and their respective pricing as of todays date, would you be able to rank them for acquisition together with a brief comment please.
Q: Is there any particular reason why banks (eg. BNS, TD, RY, etc) won't enter the same "non-traditional lending" market as GSY or PRL? Seems like regular banks have all the infrastructure for it and it sounds like there is money to be made. Do you think this would ever be a possibility in the future?
Q: Hi folks,
I am looking to add either PRL or CELH to my TFSA. Primarily looking for growth. May I have your opinion as to which one you think has the best growth profile going forward.
Thanks
