Q: Currently reviewing my precious metals exposure. In my royalty companies I have a full position in FNV and MMX. Would you hold MMX with the pending purchase by TFPM or would you sell and buy WPM at this time? In my gold miners, I have half positions in VGCX and NEM (position resulted from the Goldcorp merger), should either be sold and if so, would you purchase AEM? Any further thoughts on the precious metals exposure would be appreciated.

Q: Hello,
I am down in phys, aem, and sil but down the most in phys. can you recommend a proxy for tax loss harvesting to replace all 3 or should I sell phys and sil and replace with aem?

Q: Given a competing offer will not be coming and it from my math it seems YRI current price is not really showing any discount (you can take a look) to the current offer, would you suggest its time to move on and look for a replacement. Any suggestions besides AEM/BTO for safer precious metals holdings who are paying a decent dividend.

Q: With 1,000 shares of Alexco I will wind up with 116 shares of Hecla. I'm inclined to just sell and take my losses since I have no other US stocks. Any suggestions??

Q: You have thoughts about gold going forward?As a tangible asset instead of Bitcoin and other digital coins I have a strong feeling that gold might be at the beginning stages of a strong rally.
Some gold miners also have a good dividend as well.How did gold perform in history when we had inflation,recession,war,debt?
Please give us some insight here and what is the overall opinion from the analysts?

Q: A family member would like to build a US dollar portfolio with US stocks. My thought would be to do it along the lines of the 5iR Cdn Balance Portfolio. For example, JPMorgan would be the US stock for the BNS. With this in mind, and being able to tolerate risk and for a long-term intention, like 10 years, what would you suggest the 15+ position US portfolio would look like?....Thanks...Tom

Q: Can I hold the same stock in a registered account and in a non-registered account, US or Canada, and trade the non-registered shares as the price fluctuates?
E.G. Hold NEM in my non-registered US account and hold NGT in my registered RIF. I would trade NGT based on the current market.

Q: Hello 5I Team
Newmont Corporation is a US domiciled company and trades primarily on the US market (NEM:US) and it also trades on the Canadian Market (NGT:CA).
I am assuming the Canadian listing is a result of the Goldcorp acquisition in 2019.
1 - Which is the better market (Canada or US) to purchase Newmont on?
2 - Assuming the dividends from Newmont are not eligible for the dividend tax credit, would it be better to buy the Canadian domiciled companies (ABX, AEM, FNV, KL etc.) and receive eligible dividends? The yield on all the major gold miners is approximately 1 %, so I understand yield is not the primary reason for holding gold stocks.
