Q: There is one thing I don't understand. GUD bought Biotoscana one year ago I believe for almost $200M. The stock ran up 20% on that announcement to nearly $9 and now it is $5.50's. The thing I do not understand is didn't that acquisition do anything for the top or bottom line and hence give a positive light on the stock? You have said the last few months that investors are bored and waiting for an acquisition.
Isn't Biotoscana the acquisition? Thanks

What would be your suggestion to add? My portfolio has a mix of about 25 US and Canadian stocks based on reading your question section daily. Thanks for all you do for the independent investor!

Q: Hi,
I'd like long term hold of five years, preferably without too much volatility. Which 2 or 3 stocks would be your best bet and why?

Q: I'm still holding shares in GuestLogix and noticed that there's been some trading activity the last week or so. Any idea what's happening? They're still worthless, but they bounced 1000% from the bottom of worthless.
Q: Could i please have your thoughts on Brookfield Office Properties preferred shares. Are these worth investing in, ( safety of dividend, creditworthiness), and, if so which series would you consider.
Thanks,

Q: First, thanks for the great service you provide, it is much appreciated!
I would like your thoughts on this Company for a long term hold. It looks like management has quite a bit of experience in the cannabis industry, and they have a number of offices in major N. American. Any insight into the financials and your thoughts on how the psychedelics and psychedelic-enhanced psychotherapy market will evolve would be appreciated.

Q: Another question regarding sector allocation. I am overweight in Financials (20%), but would like to add either SLF or TRI. The Financials I currently hold are: BAM, BIPC, X and VISA. Are the economic drivers sufficiently different for either SLF or TRI that I could justify further overweighting this sector? Thank you.

Q: Which one of these would be the best choice for a RESP. Beneficiary is an older child (grandson) who will start to draw funds from mid 2021 onwards. Looking for the best return within the 2 to 5 years remaining before total drawdown of funds would be completed.
I plan to establish a new RESP for a great granddaughter soon. She is not yet 2 years so has a long time horizon. Any suggestions?
