Q: QYLD writes calls options ATM on "100% of assets" wich means on all NASDAQ index or all assets ? I seems to me impossible and much to risky to sell call options on 100% of the NAV of the fund( since they could have to sell all of the fund eventually ..) but it would be logical for me to sell call options on a certain % of all the NASDAQ index (a % on 100% of NASDAQ 100 stocks)! I read that this % was 2%,but I found nothing about this point on global X website except this "calls on 100% of assets"...Did I misunderstand the whole principle of this fund ? thanks for explanations

Q: Happy owner of Eric's NNRG....got a $4.18 dividend notice...roughly a 9% yield. Why such a large dividend? I'm not complaining, I own it in my TFSA and plan to buy more shares. Just wondering why...any ideas?
Thanks...Steve

Q: Can I please get your opinion on the consumer cyclical company Traeger Inc. (COOK). Since its IPO in 2021 it has declined close to 90%. Normally this trend would not appeal to me but I do find it interesting the Ontario Teachers Pension Plan is the largest shareholder. What do you think of this company after a year of being public and do you think it has any prospects? If you are not in favor of this company, can you suggest some other consumer cyclical names in the US that would think highly of? Portfolio analytics suggests I should increase my consumer cyclical weighting.
Q: Please let me know if the 3d camera manufacturer Matterport is worth buying. Thanks

Q: Could you please share 5 to 7 US growth names you would be comfortable with buying today? Are there any names that you were comfortable with early in the year that you would be less comfortable with moving forward? (For ex: ROKU, or APPS).
Q: WHOA!!!!! Can you explain the jump today in Tantalus Systems Holding Inc? I can't find any news. Is it the beginning of the seasonality period for small & micro caps(if not when do they outperform?) Any new viewpoints on GRID and their long term outlook?
Q: These 3 stocks have fallen dramatically. NVDA and CRWD have had recent insiders sales. If you were to invest in these which order may you acquire them?
Also what is the difeerence between buying them on NASD or on the Canadian exchange.? Would you prefer one to the other?
Thank you
Steve

Q: In an answer to a question about CDRs, you noted that CIBC has to buy shares of the listed CDR stock to facilitate trading in that stock on the NEO stock exchange. Should one be concerned about CM's ongoing ability to support this activity given that its overall financial state puts it at the low end of Canadian Bank rankings and things look not so great for improvement in the future. Also the FANG and other NEO listed stocks are hitting new lows every day. How will this reduced investor interest effect CM's commitment to support the CDR market.
Q: Larry Berman being interviewed by Bloomberg indicated that we are in for another year similar to 2002. He had numerous charts to support his opinion. They reference the massive amount of debt that the US has taken on to deal with COVID and the wars it supports financially (Ukraine). The interest which is higher than usual is going to make things even more difficult to pay back. Sounds pretty scary to me. Thank you again
Q: Re: Rodney's question of Dec 22, in-kind transfers. I am a BMO Investorline customer and have made in-kind transfers from my BMO RIF to my BMO TFSA both this year and last year. I did this by phone, The BMO staff member was helpful and advised me that while I would still pay tax, by making an in-kind, rather than cash RIF withdrawl there would be no witholding tax.

Q: My question is, is BEP.UN worth holding at this present time. I am underwater on the stock in a non-registered account, but it does pay an attractive dividend in US dollars. What is the reason that it is dropping in price? In your opinion do you think there will eventually be a price turn around. Thanks … Cal
Q: Hi 5i,
I’m an income investor who is looking for capital preservation. I sold Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS.TO) earlier in the year to preserve capital and am now looking at it again because of the 6%+ dividend. It’s not one of my favorite banks, but what a great dividend.
Would a switch from North West Company (NWC.TO) to BNS at today’s prices make sense to 5i? Safety of capital and long-term dividend growth are most important. Any comments on either would be appreciated.
All the Best for the New Year!

Q: I will be making a rif draw in 2023. I am looking at three options ----transfer cash --- transfer a stock in kind with say 50% gain ---- transfer stock in kind with a 50% loss. Ignoring trading costs does any option have a better tax efficiency? I am very worried that you will say no.
Q: If i add EOS to my tfsa, how much tax will they hold? Thx. Maybe not good for tfsa? Thx. James

Q: Happy Holidays 5i,
I am considering purchasing some corporate class ETF's because of their tax efficiencies. The only Canadian company that I am aware of that offers them is Horizon's. Are you aware of any CRA issues with the Horizon implementation? Are there any other Canadian companies that offer tax efficient ETF's for NonReg accounts?
thanks
