Q: Hi team:

this stock is doing very well, however, there are rumors that the US
will put tariffs on the dairy products from Canada
to protect the US farmers
I have a small position, it pays a small dividend
should I add more, hold or sell due to the potential upcoming tariffs ?

Q: I currently own Eric's Mutual Fund (NPP314) and am considering switching to his ETF (NNRG). Just to understand the tracking differences, I monitored the daily movements on 3 days...May 26-28-31 (small sample, I know).
May 26 => NNRG = 0.91% vs NPP314 = 1.68%
May 28 => 1.70% vs 1.90%
May 31 => 4.93% vs 3.71%
Total all 3 days => 7.54% vs 7.29%

Can you please provide your understanding of the daily differences?
Also, is the May 31 difference, due to month-end adjustments?
The totals seems to make sense, due to the different MERs...agree?

Do you still agree it makes sense to move to NNRG (I can't find much information on the ETF in their website (or through RBC), except it is in their drop down box for options to buy, on the Ninepoint website. To me this implies that the holdings are identical)? There is only $1.1 Million in NNRG...is this an issue to be concerned about?

Q: I currently own some of these shares and am trying to find out if they are being called at the end of June when they are subject to the 5 year rate reset...are you able to tell me if an announcement to that effect has been made yet and if not provide a good website where I would be able to ....I monitor the BPY news releases but have seen nothing yet...the date of the meeting for BAM. to acquire BPY is after the reset date and not sure if a redemption call could be made prior to the meeting...any insights you could provide would be much appreciated...many thanks

After a painful wait I am finally breaking even on KEY (div were dripped). I have 5% position.
Do you see any near term catalist that can move the stock further?
I rather buy something with more growth like MG (I do have linamar at 4%). Do you think holding MG and LNR would present too much concentration? Altogether I hold 45 stocks and 4 ETFs.

Q: Thanks, 5I Team, for all the good work. I owe GILEAD SCIENCES since 2017. It is still around the same price I am down about 1.5%. Would you recommend holding on or moving on. If moving on, what would you recommend in health care sector, I already owe Cardinal Health & ABBVIE Inc. I am looking at long term investment.
Secondly, I owe FASTLY INC and am down about 40%. I am a long-term Investor and can hold on. Would you advise to hold on or switch to Lightspeed or something else? If it really has potential, I can wait it out don’t need the cash.
This is general question not stock specific. Normally I prefer to buy US stocks in RRSP and Canadians in TFSA and non registered due to withholding Tax. I am unable to make up my mind as to where to put the riskier growth-oriented stocks. In TFSA I am unable to write off the loss if the investment goes sour, If I put in RRSP eventually, one pays tax on withdrawal in retirement, but can’t immediately write off the loss when I sale and book a loss. In a non registered account If the stock takes off I end up paying tax on half the gains. What would you normally recommend?
