Q: As recommended at the time, I just left my AW.ca stock when they did a corporate action. Now I am down significantly. Not sure if I should sell -I have some in a TFSA and some in a non-registered acct. Would it be wise to sell them both and then re-buy if market corrects or move on if it doesn't? I'm at more of a real loss in my TFSA, where it would seem now it doesn't need to be. I tend to just hold through volatility but would like to clean this up. Thanks.
Q: Hello 5i, There is a takeover offer for Lumina Gold by a Chinese company. Could you comment as to the possibility of the federal govt opposing the deal and the possibility of a higher offer?
Q: Do you see a good potential for an upside on Rogers comm. I see the yield is attractive while waiting. do you see the risk to fall much further?
Thank you.
Q: Where would you direct some RIF investment between these two WCP or GEI. Which is safest?, which has the best upside? or hold the worst downside?
Thank you.
Q: Getting very impatient with this story- more downgrades today - understanding that it is a bit apples /oranges - switch to DOL for growth over next 3 -5 yrs?
Q: Thoughts on recent earning. Down already over 30 percent this year, I’m wondering if it’s time to get out and search new opportunities. The tariff treat remains and economic downturn risk remains. What are your views on holder or exiting this position for other opportunities.
Q: Now that there seems to be a Trump put somewhat in place (perhaps). With a tad of uncertainty off the table do you think its time to take some profit on AEM off the table.
Its about 35% above its 200 dma and its RSI is
overbought.
Q: I know it is a risky penny stock, but can you provide a brief overview of what you think of this company? Valuation, growth prospects, balance sheet health etc.
Thanks,
Q: I think I just heard that bell that no-one rings at the bottom. I realize that the Tasmanian Devil, Elmer Fudd and the rest of the white house crew will continue to revel in their own incompetence, but still there seems to be some sort of reasonableness (I know, I know) coming out of recent statements about not firing Powel and about China even.
My idea then is to ease back into a somewhat more aggressive, or at least less defensive, posture over the next several weeks, all the while still closely monitoring everything, In general terms does this make sense to you? Thank-you.
Q: I need to liquidate a portion of a portfolio holding the 8 stocks listed. Can you please rank them in the order you would sell (first to last) based on potential for total return over the next 3-4 years?
I'm looking at the 3 month, 6 month and year-to-date charts of BIP.UN and BEP.UN compared to their peers (EMA and FTS). What would you attribute the reasons for their underperfmance? The 3 year chart for both of these Brookfield entities isn't exactly stellar as well.
As always, your comments and insights are highly valued.
Q: Hi, I have my own spreadsheet to split my portfolio by sectors. Where would you put Preferred shares? In the same sector as the issuer or in a special category? Cash/GIC, Mutual Funds and broad-sector ETFs have their own ‘columns’. Thanks again.
Q: Please help me out. One of the metrics I find very important is ROE or return on equity. When I look this up look this up on 5i’s site under profile I get an ROE of 128% however when I look at the April 25/24 report it shows 2%? The current Morningstar Quant Report shows 3.99%. So 1st. question is does 5i consider ROE to be an important metric?
Secondly how can I get an accurate measurement?
Thanks
