Q: I am interested in adding to the health care portion of my portfolio. I am also doing some bargain hunting. CGY has caught my attention as a possibility.
However, having read your previous comments and the fact that it has missed on most of its numbers and not delivered on its “positive” guidance for quarter after quarter I am wondering what will turn this company around and when?
And will that be enough to turn the big money funds get interested again. I would guess they are a bit skeptical right now.
Do you see anything positive on the horizon?

Q: Long term holder of Royal Bank. Thoughts on quarter please? I read an early report of how RY beat estimates and was up 6% in the pre-market....now when the market is open it is down 3%. Any thoughts....people expected better? Concern over loan provisions?
Thanks...Steve

Q: I am preparing to invest cash again.
Where we sit...a low point..in the economy and sentiment....could you suggest 3 Cdn dividend stocks ( and 3-5 US growth stocks and 5 ETFs (balanced and global) that represent a good buying opportunity in these poor markets...that have the potential to show very good returns over the next 5 years out.am preparing to deploy cash into the market.
I would say I am a investor that can tolerate 80 in the medium risk category and up to 20 % in higher risk holdings.
Timing is not a good thing to factor in, but things appears a like a recession is coming if not already here...would you sugest averaging in? and over what period of time.
Thank you
p.s. Currently all I own is RBC, Sun Life and PIMCO Monthly Income.

-
Palo Alto Networks Inc. (PANW $169.71)
-
SentinelOne Inc. Class A (S $17.25)
-
CrowdStrike Holdings Inc. (CRWD $444.95)
Q: SentinelOne continues to make me regret not putting all of my cybersecurity dollars into CRWD. It lowered guidance slightly last night and looks to be punished on an otherwise UP day to the tune of 12+ %. Can you comment on the quarter, the longer term and potential for a bounce back? Guidance was lowered but is the market overreacting? How does S typically bounce back from an earnings miss and would you expect a penalty box situation here or a fairly quick forgive and forget situation?
Q: Hello Team,
I'm interested in these two companies after going through most of the questions here, there seems to be a change in your preference. Why is D2L a more prefer investment NOW compare to DCBO. What has cause you to change your opinion on them. Thank You

Q: Hi Team,
Would you consider Rddt a long term buying opportunity here with shares being more than cut in half this year? Does Rddt have the potential to be an early stage Meta perhaps? Is the business model similar to meta with mostly advertising revenue ?
Thanks ,
Shane

BCE Inc. (BCE $32.40)
-
TELUS Corporation (T $21.89)
-
Quebecor Inc. Class B Subordinate Voting Shares (QBR.B $39.05)
Q: Hi Peter and 5i Team,
An article in the Globe & Mail (May 27) was titled:
“Telus to invest more than $70-billion in Canada over next five years to expand infrastructure”
Given that its payout ratio is now approximately 100%, and if interest rates should rise while there’s a slowdown in the economy, is this a prudent decision for Telus to take? Having recently sold BCE at a loss, and still owning T, are my concerns justified?
In the Communications Services Sector, we also have a small position in QBR.B, which is doing reasonably well so far. Its debt leverage is the lowest among its peers, which I believe to be an important metric at this time.
Thanks in advance for your insight.

Q: Long term holder of ATD and starting to rethink my investment based on their company size. I feel the company may now be too large to emulate their previous track record. When compared to the smaller Casey's in the US, ATD has vastly underperformed it's smaller peer recently. Also, they seem to be missing forecasts more frequently the last couple of years which may explain their all in pursuit of 7-11. If the takeover doesn't occur, are there other growth levers the company can pursue to resume growing their top & bottom lines consistently again? Thx
Q: No need to post if others have asked already.
Your comments on the Okta quarter? Is it a buy at $107? How did their forecast compare to expectations and do you see this as a company on the right trajectory? Finally, the market didn't like the quarter but was it an overreaction or a justified reaction to a material change in the future value of the company?

Q: Can you comment on the dividend for this stock? It is elevated likely due to a depressed stock price but would you view it as stable or chance for a cut?
Thanks.
Thanks.
