Q: Is there an ETF similar to SPHD (larger companies with low volatility), however is focused outside of the US (and Canada) that you would recommend? Preferably with a yield over 3.5-4%. I hold VIU for general exposure however moving to retirement and am looking for a bit more income focus.

Q: This excellent question was answered by your team on oct 30 th.
"I'm wondering if you could suggest 20 Canadian stocks, with a minimum yield of 3.5%, that you would purchase NOW. This list could include ETFs."
I shall ask a similar question but for only 12 US stocks or ETFs in my TFSA ,the goal being safety+ dividends + some growth ,many thanks

Q: Can you recommend some high paying US stocks or ETF's to hold in my Rif account. Please include some that distribute monthly payments if possible. I am mostly interested in income, not capital gains seeing most of my US investments are down. Thanks, James

Q: I have half my retirement portfolio in cash right now and plan to start layering in to index funds over the coming months. Consensus seems to be a Recession in 2023 so i'm thinking about taking a more defensive approach like SPHD and receive the 4% dividend while the market figures out where it is going in 2023 and beyond.
Once sentiment improves and another bull market looks to be in the horizon i would likely shift from SPHD to SPY and/or Sector in flavor funds.
Seem like a reasonable approach?

Q: I have some US dollars that I would like to invest for a few months and I'm looking for a simple etf or stock that will give me more return than the zero interest I'm getting in my USD account. I don't mind a little risk but still want low risk. If you could suggest 3 potential options I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Q: I just read your answer re the above symbol, Larry Bermans newest addition. My question would be, what would you recommend that has a longer track record and is similiar to zpay's philosophy, maybe not quite the best word for an etf !!. Thank you.

Q: Would zlh be a fairly safe and effective investment for a 3 to 4 year holding? I need some more US exposure and would like to preserve my capital with some upside potential. Are their other low volatility US etf that you would prefer? Thank you.

Q: Good day 5i.
The only US position I now hold in my RRSP is ZWH.
I like this ETF, just leave it alone and let it spit money out.
I'm looking for another US ETF that will fit nicely with ZWH and t pays monthly. The new ETF position would be half the size of ZWH if that helps.

Thanks for you help.

Q: Hello
Is there a low volatility ETF traded in US similar to BMO's ZLU?
It is my understanding that if the Canadian dollar appreciates against the US dollar the increase in value of the ZLU will be eroded. Am I right on this?
Thank you for your ongoing assistance
