Q: I’ve done fairly well on the stock so far thanks entirely to your recommendation so thank you for starters. What are your thoughts about when to take profits in a company like this? I made money in Shopify a few years ago and sold, only to see the stock continue to rise over the years. Is ttd a name you’d suggest sitting back with for now? I get anxious when I have a good profit and tend to sell the winners. It seems to me that TTD is a leader in a new and growing space (like shop was a few years ago). Thanks.

Q: Hello Team ,
With the recent movement in the gold market do you expect the profitability of XAU to respond positively? Are customer holdings of precious metals increasing and is it worth holding yet?

Q: Can you have a look at the stock charts for me. Also I noticed today there is double the volume of shares trading today on both of these. Thoughts on timing getting back in on these?

Here is a hypothetical question. Let's say gold stays in a range of 1550-1650 in the next year. Now let's compare ASR vs HMY. Which company do you think has less risk factors and therefore more upside potential. In other words which one do you like more? Thanks...your insights are always of value and I use them in my own calculations.

PIMCO Global Income Opportunities Fund (PGI.UN)
Q: Hi,
What are your thoughts on PGI.UN? The MER looks like it's on the order of 4% which seems high. On the other hand, for a fixed income fund, the total return (after expenses) for the last few years seems decent.
I already hold XHY, CVD & XPF. Would you say PGI.UN is a good compliment to add to these or should I just add to these ETFs instead?
Thanks,
Gord

Q: In this ultra low interest rate environment, where it is maybe more likely for rates to climb than to fall, do you think the best place for the income component of a portfolio, aside from GICs, is in a bond ETF like VAB or a savings ETF like PSA?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Q: Could you please explain to me why Bam. has such a small dividend at1.1%, compared to Bip. at 4.08 and Bep at 4.46. Also, which of the three might fare better in a downturn. Thanks, Ken
Q: Hi, what is the outlook for CNR in 2020? I have a small position, about 1%. It has not moved much since 15 months ago and I would sell unless there was growth expected in 2020. If sell, I would move the funds to another sector, possibly buying gsy. Many thanks for the great service.
Q: According to todays news release, the acquisition of Terraform is accretive to both companies. In addition, BEP announced a 5% distibrution increase. So why is the stock price down about 5% today? Is it a good buying opportunity?
Q: What are your thought on BB buy sell or hold and why I was thinking maybe it may get bought out
Q: Hi, Sounds like many of SYZ small investors like me (and other 5i members) are frustrated with its recent performance (perhaps the only CDN Tech stock with a price decline during 2019 -20%) and questioning the wisdom of continuing to own it. You are right, boring sometimes could be beautiful and we are in no rush to sell our holding, specially with a decent dividend coverage. But, what I wonder is that something strangely appears to have changed with the company/management's approach after recent changes in executive compensation structure. Insider buying has dried up and company stock buyback is non-existent, despite a steady decline in share price. This has also added to the lukewarm market sentiment towards the stock, in my view. What are your thoughts ? Thanks

Q: Could I have your opinion on Pool Corp as a long term investment?
Q: As a comment on Joe's question about his mother-in-law, there is indeed a lot of questions to be answered but I wonder why there are no TFSAs. The first thing I would do is place as much as possible in a TFSA and especially put as much of the GIC money in it since the GICs pay interest which attracts tax at the same rate as regular income.
Q: Could you please list a few (or more) companies (preferably from different industries), which were undeservingly punished during the tax loss season, but you think might have a great potential to bounce back in the current year?
Thank you
