Q: Could you comment on TA's fourth-quarter and year end results. It seems to trade at approximately 6.5 times free cash flow. How does this compare to other companies in its sector. Does it own 60% of RNW through its ownership of of TransAlta Generation Partnership which owns which owns 23% of RNW(see TransAlta Corporation | 2021 Annual Information Form)and its 37% direct ownership?

Q: Good morning! CVO is a listing I am following since it manifested it's interest in an IPO. Since the IPO the stock price has not performed well but is stabilizing. It is a fairly solid operation with what seems to be good management and fundamentals. I may wish to invest at some point. And I take it from your answers to recent questions that you do not have a vested interest in this listing yet.

My question is for this listing but also for any IPO out there. What are your trigger points that will initially get you interested in a listing and then that will get you invested in that listing ? Thank you.

I am trying to get my head wrapped around digital currencies. I think I understand the premise of bitcoin but am confused on the purpose of sovereign nations having their own digital dollar. What is the difference between the two?

Q: I feel a bit lost and don't know what to do. Many of the stocks I own are down, some by a lot. Oh yes, it has been painful. Thinking of the long term, I did very little when the carnage started, and waited for things to settle. Perhaps they have or are getting close and I am getting ready to figure out what to do. But it is difficult to come to grips with some of the large losses, especially in holdings that I previously thought were pretty solid. For example, MG and PBH (and a number of others) . I see there are questions about these 2, so I am not looking necessarily for info about them; but more, do I sell stocks that I thought were, and still think are, good long term holdings, to move to other stocks that are said to have, currently, more potential? I see your comments about not sector jumping. But how do I adjust, if I get past my pain?

Though some are from registered accounts, there are losses in taxable accounts; how much consideration is to be given to that issue?

Q: In an earlier question about ITP, May 2022 was mentioned as the expected closing date of the take out. I believe I read somewhere it was 3rd quarter of 2022. Do you know when the expected take out is scheduled for?

Q: The business journals suggest that Europe will put a big push on spending in alternative energy sources. Are there any north American listed companies that would be beneficiaries of that spending? I already own Cameco(uranium seen to also benefit).

What would be your top 10 stocks or ETF's (Canada or US) to purchase today for a 3-5 year hold? It is OK to say "wait" a little longer and not suggest any stocks.
