Q: Hello, I saw that there are seven new CDRs from CIBC: Verizon, McDonald's, Nike, Starbucks, Coca-Cola, United Health, and Cisco. Without going into the CDRs versus buying on American exchanges debate, I am curious to know if some of these stocks are worth buying today, which ones, the reason why and in what order (from most compelling to least)., presumably for a 5-year holding period. Thanks.

Q: For further clarification on my last question about Northwest comparing it’s P/E to it’s historical P/E, the management, recent insider buying by the CEO and price to sales ratio, could you please comment on those particular points and please add on specific the pros and cons of Northwest from your own analysis. Q: There has been alot of insider activity with multiple board members putting out nice sums of their own personal savings. It really stands out compared to other companies I watch. Does this set up a strong possibility of an acquisition or possibly something else. Is it worth the risk just based on that.

Q: Hello Peter and team,
K-Bro Linen is down to what looks to be a bit of a long-term (excluding 2020) base of around $30. The dividend is approaching 4 percent. For a goal of long-term capital preservation and income, do you see it currently having the financial strength to provide this kind of stability? One concern is that the P/E shows as 50. Why so high? Is that misleading in some way, given the investment goal noted above? Thank you.

Q: Sangoma is an interesting case. Undertook a huge acquisition, with revenues massively increasing. Operating costs increased massively however, resulting in larger net earnings losses compared to before the acquisition. My questions:
1) was the acquisition wise in retrospect?
2) how easy is it to get out of this pickle of larger losses?
3) is this an example of management getting compensation for the large acquisition, but not an apparent benefit to shareholders?
4) is Sangoma a good five year hold here, or what would you look for in its earnings to make it a good investment?

Q: hi folks, thoughts/opinion of Q1/23 results for Digital Turbine Apps/q....like most beaten tech stocks...numbers & guidance seemed okay..not great...but they are profitable, & company seems to be doing better than others in their Sector...took full positon at $20sh and very happy to hold thru the tech rout...merci beaucoup for all you do...jb Piedmont QC

Q: I’m thinking of selling a position in Enbridge and buying Northwest Co.(NWC). I feel confident that NWC has a further pop from here comparing it’s P/E to it’s historical P/E. This is just a short term speculation trading idea. Other things I like are the management, recent insider buying by the CEO and price to sales ratio. I’ll still own Enbridge long term in my portfolio but this will be my first time looking into Northwest and just wanted your comments on my thoughts and on the pros and cons of Northwest. Thank you.

Q: TD and BMO recently issued preferred shares. TD 5 Year Rate Reset Series 28 yielding 7.232%, reset 4.2%. BMO 5 Year Rate Reset Series 50 yielding 7.376%, reset 4.25.
Both press releases both include the line "will issue to certain institutional investors"
Can retail investors purchase these? The rate and reset seem fantastic based on the quality of the issuers.

Q: There has not been a question regarding this company since early 2021. At that time it was trading around $5 and it was suggested the results would be binary. Now it is $15, could you provide an update on this company regarding its progress and growth in revenue/profitability. Thank you. John
