Q: What would be a good company to buy shares in for a teenager for his first investment? It was mentioned before that it increases interest in investing if the teen knows about the company. I was thinking of Costco, Disney, Mcdonalds?
Would you be able to provide a top 3-4 names in Canada and 3-4 in the US as suggestions? Thanks
Q: Cons Disc [CD] portfolio target is 9%; current holdings 1.5% ea AMZN, SHOP [technically IT, but now more similar to AMZN? if not, then only 3% allocated], and CMCSA. 5+ yrs growth goal. To add and/ or new buys?
1. e-commerce: AMZN, SHOP, others?
2. retail watch list [WList]: advise re LULU, NKE, SBUX, others?
3. TV/ connected WList: DIS, ROKU & TLRA [both IT, but ultimately tied to Consumer spending]
4. Or, XLY and/ or TDB 424 Fund [Entertainment & Communication holds some Cons Disc, but not 100%] or other.
This is a mix but would appreciate your advice with sector allocation.
Thx
Q: I have a small US account and am looking to add a couple of companies to it. I realize that you do not provide extensive coverage of US stocks but would it be possible to recommend a few small to mid cap growth companies with a one to three year time horizon. Sector and volatility are not factors. Thanks.

Q: Hi, could I please have your current opinion on LULU. They had a good quarter and technically the stock will breakthrough to new highs with a few more % gain. But as you said in the past results have been inconsistent. Do you see guidance and consistency possibly improving, or just a good quarter followed by uncertainty for the next one?
LULU has really taken a beating these past two weeks despite strong financials, solid management, and the majority of analysts believing it will outperform the market. I am down quite a bit recently, and I was wondering if I should keep purchasing the shares as they continue to decrease in value with the hopes of a rebound?
For Sleep Country, do you also believe that this is a hold despite the drop in price that occurred in the past two weeks?
Could you please comment on the results released yesterday? It seems LULU met most of the expectations but has pulled back a fair bit. Do you consider it a buy at this time?
