Q: A further update on converting PDYPF "shares" to FLUT shares. Two weeks ago I asked BMO IL to journal my PDYPF shares to FLUT so I can sell them on the NYSE when I want. My son did the same at Questrade. His shares were converted in one day. I'm still waiting. I called today and essentially I was told that their computer set up cannot do this. Further more, PDYPF shares were CDIs, that is they are held by the CREST depository in the UK. OK that sent me back to re-read the notice 5i posted and section II #5 applies to CDIs which have been now converted to DIs (Depository Interests) which is essentially no change but Computershare holds them and sells them through CREST. Can you convert DIs to FLUT? The notice says YES but there is a charge by CREST. I guess this is the 1% "stamp tax" I was told about. I am now looking to transfer my shares to Questrade where it will be more visible and open. My son did not pay any "stamp tax" but maybe he will when he goes to sell the shares. Q: I read about "paying attention to valuation" but I don't understand how to arrive at a good "valuation" of a company.

Could you explain, in simple terms, and give an example of what would be a good [and a bad] valuation of an existing company's stock?

Could you use CAE or TIXT as an example of a good or bad valuation?

Thank you.

Q: Hello Peter,
What is happening to Ivanhoe electric? It is on a downward trend. I am thinking of selling my toi, and lmn, to invest in CSU as everyday i see csu ticking higher. Does this strategy makes sense? Also, with nice dividend history of fortis, why is it still so low whereas hydro one seems to be ticking higher. thanks very much

Q: Beside exchange rates effects, is there any major difference in owning a CAD bitcoin etf like BTCC.B vs one of the newly minted US BTC etfs? I use GBTC as an example but if there's some you like better please mention.

Q: Is now a decent time to purchase VRT or should I wait for a potential pullback/consolidation? Are there other similar companies to VRT?
Thanks

Q: Thank you for the comprehensive response to my recent question regarding preferred shares. In your response you stated: "preferred shares tend to fall as interest rates move up". Should I interpret this to mean that the current high interest environment is favourable for buying preferreds since once interest rates drop the price of preferreds will increase (and so yield decrease)?

Q: These four companies are all AI-predominant companies, all are growing revenues at about 20% per year or so, have similar market caps, and are coming into profitability for the first time either last year or next.
My question is a difficult one: is there any way to tell what operating margins might eventually be for each of these companies say in 3-4 years? Do you know any way to get this projection? And how these may be ranked for eventual margins if so? Thanks.
