Q: I just saw Tesla’s Q4 production and deliveries numbers in an article on Cleantechnica. It looks to me like they were excellent and it sounds from coverage I’ve followed that they’ve maintained and grown numbers that impressed in Q3 and also have solved a number of issues in Q4 that should enable better production outcomes in future quarters.

On the end user side, the cars seem to be crushing the competition - Safety ratings are a step change vs. ICE cars and the performance of model 3 seems to beat luxury competitors or at least match with lower Running costs. Data is showing that they are stealing share from competitors rather than cannabilizing Model S and X sales.

My question for 5i: is this becoming a good company to invest in? I still fear the debt but Mr. Musk says they intend to pay it down substantially in the near future. Me. Musk seems to have settled down and recognized his importance to the company and the importance of his behaviour but I do fear that if something horrible happens to him that the stick gets crushed. What are 5i thoughts given the latest?

Q: Hi 5i,

With the market correction, I am looking to add to some positions while things are on sale. I am looking at TSLA, which reposted good results last week and thus the stock started to rise. It also did pretty well today in a negative market. I have read your other answers on TSLA. Has you opinion become more positive after the recent results. Thanks 5i

Q: I’m thinking of selling one or two of these holdings, all currently in a RRIF, and re-buying them in a TFSA. I’m thinking that the best ones to transfer would be the most “growthy”. What would you advise? Could you list them in order of expected growth?

Q: Hi 5i,

This is a general question but I listed Tesla as an example. I am curious about the influence of shorts on a company's stock movement. I have a friend who says that the price of, say Tesla, is held back by a large number of outstanding short positions. And, ... if the shorts start to be removed, Tesla stock will take off. My own belief is that there are many significant factors on what a stock moves up or down, and I would say, shorts play only a minor role in the price movement. So my question, how significant are the short positions in price movement ?

Q: It looks like electric powered vehicles are an inevitable winner as we continue to struggle with climate change. The need for better batteries to power these vehicles also seems inevitable. It seems like an investment in this trend is a winner. My question is, how would 5i suggest we as members take advantage of this opportunity? Q: This may be an off the wall question but it relates to Tesla's quest to build electric stations throughout the world to energize electric cars and the consequential loss of market share of ATD/B in it's gas station units should Tesla succeed.
The question is: do you feel that an investment in both companies simultaneously would be a better bet than opting for one or the other?

Q: I am just looking to expand my breadth of knowledge in the 'self driving car space.' With the exception of Texas Instruments (which I already own). Are there any other companies with exposure to this area that look like interesting investments?
