Q: What are your thoughts on Avalara? Is this a 5+ year hold? My investment thesis is over the long term online cross border shopping and digital currencies will require sophisticated taxation software. Governments will eventually require sale tax filings at point of sale which this software can accommodate. Thanks!

Q: Hi
I have done well with Constellation software, having trimmed it a few time back to 5% of my portfolio.
It is now at 5% and I am wondering if the "easy money" has been made in this stock. I am considerably overweight in technology and considering selling half (2.5 %) of My CSU holding
and letting the remainder ride;
My other tech holdings are GOOG AAPL KXS LSPD SHOP
Thamks

Q: Your thoughts on this royalty company please, in light of the price decay. Is it a good buy at this point?
Q: Good Morning,
Is Roku still a long-term hold based on potential for advertising revenue, or do the recent quarterly results and share sell-off change your opinion of this company?
Thanks.

Q: read the quarterly earnings report twice, what did i miss that causes stock to retreat. dave
Q: Medical Facilities is down 28% today. Is this stock being oversold? I know they announced a dividend cut.
Q: Step no now? It’s real estate?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: Tamarack Valley released their quarter today. I am down 30% on this name, and it is down today on results while other oil companies are rallying today. I bought this name because of the good balance sheet, supposed good management, and at the time was a growth name. In this environment, should I give up on this name and buy a different name in the sector? This is the only oil stock I hold. Would I be better buying something like VET and collecting the 13% div? Or...completely leave the sector. If so...is there another stock that recommend either US of Cnd that is very appealing to you today that would have a chance at getting my money back with this one? Thanks.
Q: Comments please on latest quarterly report for CHE.UN.
Also a follow up on my previous question about dividend cuts impacting share price. General: In what circumstances do dividend cuts positively impact share price; Specific: do you think CHE.UN share price benefit from a dividend cut?
Thanks.

I am looking to add a bond etf to my portfolio. I am looking for something with a reasonable yield, that is defensive with some possible growth opportunities. Could you recommend the one that fits that those criterion or if you have a better choice, I would appreciate it. Thanks

Q: Working on the fixed income portion of my portfolio, thinking of the above plus IYLD all at 4.24% except ZAG at 6.36%.
Retired and looking for income, do I need to increase, decrease or eliminate any, or add something better?
Would all of these be best in RRSP?

Q: I am little confused with your answer to Jerry regarding dividend from US Companies. It seems to me that Dividends from US stocks are reported as forigan income which is taxed similar to interest with no dividend tax credit. Could you please elaborate further on this? Thanks

Q: Hi there, is the John Bogle Vanguard approach to investing a good one? I believe Buffett has a similar approach. Is a 2 US ETF equity portfolio good enough to get growth and global exposure, since many US companies operate on a global scale? Would a 50/50 split between ZQQ and VUN or a split between ZQQ and VFV be better? Can I go 100% into VUN/VFV? Are there better ETFs or is there a better approach to this? Thank you!

Q: I would appreciate your help in simplifying my RRIF fixed income portfolio. I am retired at 73, with about 55/45 equity/income split.primary aim is income and capital preservation. I hold positions in zag 10%, xsh 9%, clf 5%, pmif 5%, tlt 5%, xlb 3%, Xhy 2.5%, srln 2.5%, rbf 1340 4%, mdl240 23% and (sadly) preferreds HPR 3% vrp (US) 1.5% .the rest is cash type investments. I would like to switch the canadian PFD to all US: switch xlb for more TLT. I am gradually decreasing mdl240 which has to be withdrawn overtime for another more flexible short duration ETF. Keeping either xhy or srln which ever you feel would improve the porfolio. I would appreciate your thoughts of these etfs, and percentage allotments to them If there are better choices please share your insight. Please use the number of credits appropriate. Thanks very much Tom
