Q: Hello Peter & Team,

I last asked about ASG 3rd week Feb. You cautioned me and rightfully so. I took a small position @ $0.24 based on some research being more than aware of the risk. It went up to over $1.00 and has since settled at $0.84. But now there's something strange going on.

When I look up a quote for the stock it only shows April 8th close. Nothing more recent. MSN Money, Yahoo, even my QTrade acct quotes is as of April 8 @ 3:52pm $0.84.

Thoughts?

Thanks for all you do

Q: Hello Peter & Team,

I have been watching ASG for some time as from what I read, I felt they had real potential with the innovative devices they invented for minimally-invasive surgery and regenerative medicine for relief of aging back issues. A big market to say the least.

I know they are small right which makes them risky and the medical sector is a very hard nut to crack but, they have seen shares increase in value 53% since Feb 6th and at one point today got to $1.04 before settling back at $0.78.

I read the Feb 9 2021 press release regarding their common shares now trading on the OTCQB Venture Market (the "OTCQB Venture"), a US trading platform that is operated by the OTC Markets Group in New York which will enable US-based investors to seamlessly get involved in Aurora. It appears to me this announcement directly corresponds with the recent gains. Am I naïve in thinking this was a big announcement? Or are my observations valid?

I did notice a 55% increase ($0.25 - $0.45) Dec 11th through Feb 5th which was before this announcement was made. And as of late, trading volume has gone through the roof - close to 338,000 shares with the average volume being just over 47,000.

Am I looking for what I want to see in order to convince myself to pull the trigger on a trade? Or are these facts indeed significant indicators there may be something here to be serious about? Would this be an indication there may be a take over bid being looked at?

If there are any other insights you feel may be valuable, would be greatly appreciated.

thanks for all you do

Q: Hey 5i team,

The following is an email I received re ASG from Josh Sandberg, Founder, OrthoSpinenews. I thought it would be interesting for our family to read, but only if you feel it is appropriate to post it.

... Thank you for your thoughtful question. I think that ASG has a tough road ahead of them. There are many issues that have to be navigated before I believe the market will respond positively to the stock. I am not a stock advisor so please don’t take this as advice of whether or not you should hold or sell, however, I know the market of spine extremely well and there are many reasons why I wouldn’t invest my money in ASG. The product offering is limited which makes it difficult to get enough attention from independent distributors. They have had significant turnover in the executive staff (primarily in the VP of Sales role). I don’t know why that is but having a few executives come and go within 6 months of hire is a concern. Lastly, the use of marketing funds is a little bit of a head scratcher and they have become kind of a punchline of what not to do (regarding high burn). It seems that they wanted to blitz the market and try to sell quickly, which I just don’t see happening in the short term because there’s not enough value for a strategic in the foreseeable future.

Q: ASG ... Aurora Spinal Corp

two comments and a question

1. I realize Sept is consistently a poor month for the market
2. I realized the risk when I invested in a small position

today ASG is down to $1.99.They have approximately 15 months operating cash before they have to raise new funds.

Is there anything new since your last comment that sets of alarms or is encouraging.

Thanks for all you do

Q: re: ASG Aurora Spine

I realize this is a small company with a short trading history and volumes that can be very low. I also realize as with any new company it is high risk and especially so when introducing a new product in the healthcare industry.

To their credit, ASG has had numerous surgeries in Europe with great success and have recently completed their first surgery in the US.

I have a small position (1.2%) and with the share price being at it's lowest point am considering adding a couple of hundred dollars to average down my original entry cost.

What are your thoughts on averaging down? And has your outlook for ASG changed at all since last discussed in May?

Thanks for all you do

Q: ASG - Aurora Spine

I have a small potion in ASG and continue watching while the company gets it "ducks in a row."

May 9 announced the appointment of Doug Johnson as Regional Vice President of Sales for the Eastern United States. Mr. Johnson has served in management roles for various spine and orthopedic companies such as TranS1, Pioneer Surgical Technology and SomnoMed Inc. and has over 15 years of sales experience. Appears this was a good hire and another step towards generating increased sales and exposure.

Mid April saw share prices rise to $4.91 and have since dropped back down to $3.50 - close to it's lowest this year.

I expected this would be a long road for Aurora - especially considering the sector. Is there any other news you have heard? Would you buy at these low levels?

Thanks for all you do

Q: re: Aurora Spine Corp ASG - Venture... this company appears to be on the verge of making an impact on non-invasive spinal surgery. Management appears to be solid, they recently received FDA Approval on advanced technology, and have just hired Mike Keegan as VP of sales who is coming over from a competitor and has a very good track record. Can you please tell me what expectations you might have for this company in the coming years?
