Q: What do you know about BitIQ? I've read about outlandish claims about how by using AI it is generating huge gains. It sounds like a scam but I haven't been able to verify it.

Q: Is it reasonable to say at this point that in addition to the lump of coal in place of the Santa Claus rally, the "January Effect" New Year's small-cap bounce is unlikely to materialize for the second year in a row?

Q: Hello:

Child turning 18 later this month. For initial $6500 to TFSA would VEQT be better than US only VFV? Very long time horizon and I never bet against USA!

Other options for long term growth?

thanks,

Q: As I recall in early 2022, prior to the stock split, 5i research said GOOG was the best bet in the big tech space, with lots of cash and good financials. For longer term potential, where to you see GOOG now compared to MSFT, APPL, AMZN etc?
Thanks

Q: I heard today that Meta announced (rather quietly) that they will be diluting shareholders by printing $425M more shares to give employees in SBC to try to keep them after the big price drop over the last while. I was continuing to hold META because I think it still has a decent shot at growing in some of its rev streams and the metaverse could be successful for them. But this dilution irks me more than the the price drop. What are your thoughts on this? Do you see this as being more of a reason to maybe exit a position in META?

Q: Happy Holidays!! Two part question - What are your thoughts on index funds, I don’t think I see any in your portfolios.

I read some commentary sometimes how some “professional investors” say they are better than stocks, for as the stock market goes up the index funds will too, but stocks don’t always rise when the market does. I do see the counter argument there too.

And assuming you’re not opposed to them, you which ones would you recommend?

Please take 2-3 credits, as that was a long question.

Thanks,

Cam

Q: Hello,
Many experts are predicting a downturn in the market for at least the first half of 2023 and possible even longer. With that in mind, and if the Feds and Bank of Canada pause in Q1,... the market will stabilize and GIC rates may pull back. In fact RBC GIC's short term rates are about the same as longer term. Therefore, is this a good time to start buying Bonds ETFs with the hope that as rates start coming down the stock price will start moving higher? Am I correct in this assumption? And, which ones would you suggest? short, mid, or long term.? As well, what are you thoughts on Prime Linked Cashable GIC's ( offered by RBC)? Finally, would you buy a 1 year GIC currently at 4.65% ( by RBC) ?
Thanks
