Q: I own CNQ (largest position), OXY, and CHORD in my trading accounts. I am down quite a bit in CHORD since the Enerplus merger.

I don't really have that much exposure to natural gas stocks at the moment. Would it make sense to sell CHORD, claim a capital loss, and buy something like PEY, TOU, or BIR?

Q: My international holdings (ex, US) comprise 15 % of my portfolio, which comprises 70% VE, and 30% VEE. Do you think that VIU would be a better option than VE at the same percentage? Thanks in advance as always.

Q: Hello. Gold and gold stocks have had a nice run. Do you think this move still has legs? If so, would CGL and XGD be good investments or are there others which you prefer?

Thank you.

Q: I'm considering taking a position in the sub-prime Canadian lenders. Between Propel and Goeasy, which one would you choose to maximize total returns given the current market price? Is there an advantage in holding both with a (50/50) position? Planned holding period is 3 to 5 years.

Thanks for the great service.

Q: Hello Team,

In one answer you stated NBIS is very high risk and in another you stated that half the market cap is in cash. If half the market cap is in cash doesn’t that make it far less risky? Can you please provide a current valuation, your thoughts on the investment thesis and what price it would be a table pounding buy?

Q: What happens to the earnings of Propel if the US economy goes into recession? I’m confused because I have heard recessions cause more people to use their type of lending. Yet you would think defaults would rise significantly. What would the net effect be?

Q: Another day, another short report on Applovin. All the reports say something to the effect that Applovin tracks users in a way that the major platforms Apple and Google forbid. The worry is a deplatforming at some point. What do you make of this?

Q: Will artificial intelligence utilization in finance and markets be able to replace stock pickers and in the end financial advisers/analyst since analysis of companies data will be faster and perhaps more reliable and objective than performed by a human irregardless of his skills and experience. Already automated portfolios are created by a computer based on certain investment goals.
I would be interested in your perspective on this matter.
Thank you
