Q: Enghouse is a good steady tech holding in my TFSA account that has done well over the years. Do you see it as a good future holding or are there more dynamic options, in Canada or US. I have Can$ and US$ TFSA accounts.

Q: Can I get your thoughts on this Company, Powerband Solutions Inc.?

It has an interesting business model focusing on the vehicle market; but I frankly bought it expecting to lose all my money. After a long while of being under-water, the price is a decent amount higher than what I bought in. I'm trying to figure out if I should exit and take the (small) gain or stick around for the long-haul.

Q: seems these companies are at the forefront of breaking out with leading-edge COVID specific ... I am invested in each, what are your thoughts for each company ..thx

Q: What to you consider the long term consequences of the Democrats now having control of the Senate and House of Representatives with regards to prospects for Enbridge? Of immediate concern is the rumoured pending announcement by Biden to cancel the XL pipeline in an effort to appease the left leaning members of his party.

Q: BAM.A is now trading at $49+ , has the stock recovered to the pre-pandemic levels OR do you think that it still has upside.

Also at this point, would airline stocks be better or the cruise lines, which has more upside ?

My strategy is to buy airline/cruise stocks now....sell in 1-3 years and then move that money to something like BAM.... what do you think of this?

I see the x div date is Dec 30, when is the next one? I'm think of taking some gains and maybe picking it back up when it gets boring again.

Q: I don't have a US dollar trading account, but BMO Investorline allows me to buy and settle in US dollars in my RRSP account. I have some US dollars built up now and intend to buy/settle US Companies in $US. Do you see any problems arises from this?

Q: Thanks for your aswer for WIR :" historical tax allocation has been 40% foreign non business income and 60% return of capital (ROC). ROC is included in the distribution and is not a separate payout. There certainly is no Canadian dividend tax credit. We would be fine with this in a cash account. With the ROC component, this shifts a portion of income to capital gains tax treatment, as this portion lowers the ACB of the investment. In an "RRSP from a tax perspective the currency of the account does not matter: there is no withholding tax in the RRSP. But since distributions are paid in US funds, holding in a US dollar account will save on f/x conversion fees. #5 They are the same thing, one trades in Canadian dollars. There is no advantage of one vs the other."
Does this means that: 1) I should ask for the tax credit for the 15% US tax ? and 2) most important thing ,will be the income tax (T5) be automatically calculated ONLY on approximatively 40% of the total year distribution, and not on the entire distribution ? 3)nb: I notice in my account that the 15% US tax is calculated on all the distribution and not just the dividend ! normal ?
In such case it is OK to keep in in my non registerd account as you mentionned !

I have become interested in CELH, as I have seen you mention it several times as a US small cap favorite. Unfortunately I have just been watching it "run away" from me as it continues to rocket higher daily it seems. I was wondering if you could elaborate a bit more on what you like about the company, growth expectations and potential, catalysts, and if the share price rise seen this year is justifiable? ($3 - $65 seems a bit crazy!) From what I have read off the website its technology in being able to burn fat seems quite intriguing. I am now tempted to go and try it myself. Do you know if it is being sold at various locations across Canada or just online? Thanks for your input.
