Q: On this pullback in technology, do you have favourites to target or with all the different sub-sectors of semi’s would it just make more sense to focus on an ETF? Thank you!

Q: I notice right now you like EQB oven GSY even though EQB has gone up a lot in the last little while. I could have bought EQB at, I believe at$48 (Nov. 2022) not that long ago - seems very expensive now while, based on my research GSY has a lot more room to run. I know the man that started EQB way back when - he still has his shares - lucky dog. In any case, your comments please as I was going to add at some point to my GSY - only have 500 shs.

Q: Thank you for your answer. You may not want to state a buy price or an attractive price range, but you have in a way dogged my question. If you think it is not “super attractive” at the moment, and I agree with you, that begs the question: at what price or range would you consider it attractive, super or not?

Q: Saw this on Business Insider. Would you be able to tell me the names of the Index Funds & the one that was up 500%?

A 27-year-old investor who's building a retirement portfolio of $2 million in 8 years shares the 3 index funds he's betting on, including one with an over 500% return in the last 10 years.

Q: I hold some TLT and have obviously entered into too early. But I am prepared to be patient.
My question is more about the Billionaire Ackman article last week where he states he is shorting the 30 year treasuries. Now, is he doing that simply because he feels the it will be a long time before the Feds actually start lowering rates or, is there something else out there that I do not understand about long treasuries?

Q: Hi 5i,
Hoping you can clear up my confusion about something that I wonder about today and have a few times in the past..
The TSX is (I thought) closed today for the August long weekend holiday. Yet my CIBC Investors Edge newsfeed is giving me today's breakout stocks, percentage gainers and 52 week highs and lows for TSX stocks (MFI and LGT.A with 52 week highs and JWEL with a 52 week low) as of 2 p.m. EST today.
What trading is this all based on?

Q: It just occurred to me, and I thought your members might be interested, that BNRE is a better choice than BN for those of us subject to clawback of benefits such as OAS. BNRE pays the same distribution as BN but it is a return of capital instead of a dividend. So there is no tax to pay in the year received and there is no gross-up of the distribution. In addition, BNRE is convertible at anytime into BN shares. Seems to me that many people should be switching to BNRE instead of BN.

2. Looking forward what are the key points that would support your rankings for total return?
3.What are their projections for dividend increases and which if any seem to be over-reaches?
4.What are their projected Debt vs Cash Flow metrics?
