Q: are there any Canadian companies that are dividend payers and well established, that are not over valued and would be considered a bargain currently? thanks.

Q: I own VUN and VGG, plus several other US companies which make up my US portfolio. I'm looking for more growth - would you recommend IWO? Would you drop either of the Vanguard ETFs?

Q: Hello Team, I'm thinking about adding AD and HOT.UN to my portfolio for the dividends which are really good.

What are your thoughts on this? How risky are these companies? The AD CEO mentioned he plans to raise the dividend this year. HOT.UN just did a great aquisition. Am I missing something?

Q: I am wondering how to proceed...SIS is held in a well balanced "balanced" portfolio and now it's weighting is 7.8% with 55% unrealized gain. (SIS position is held in TFSA). I'm wondering
which "rule" I follow now....reduce the weighting or let the winner run? How do I decide which one to follow for SIS? Or do I do a compromise and cut the weighting to 6% rather than 5%?

Q: Hello 5i Team, I would like to reduce my financial sector holdings from the current 19% to 15% or less, mostly as a defensive move against the potential of a sector "down-draft". Currently hold POW-2.0%, IFC-3.0%, MFC-2.5%, and BNS,TD,and RY at 3.5% each. I am leaning towards eliminating POW and trimming each of the banks to get to the target (income from POW is great but also the only one I am underwater on and I'm not a huge fan of income at the expense of loss of capital), but I also know you don't feel the need to necessarily hold 3 banks so could just sell RY and call it quits. Trading fees not a consideration. Would appreciate your thoughts as always,

Q: I have a small amount of cash sitting in my TFSA. What would be the growthier play in your opinion? Photon or Knight? They are both down significantly and appear to be good buying opportunities.

I currently have a 20% gain on Rogers and was thinking of selling as I would like to use the funds to continue emulating the growth portfolio. With the funds from the sale I would buy a position in PUR and add to Savaria. Appreciate your comments. I have over a 5 year time horizon.

Q: Good morning
It has come to my attention that a broker commented on ALA's dividend payout as being 257.5 %.
Further, the broker is raising questions on the sustainability of its robust payout ratio.
I will appreciate your comments. Is the dividend at risk?

Q: Hi Peter, Ryan and co

My TFSA, RRSP, and RESP is entirely comprised of the model portfolio, and about half of the growth portfolio. The stocks I selected from the growth portfolio in particular has done very well so far. However, this means that I currently don't have any exposure to the US or international markets, other than VGG.TO, which I hold a 3% position in my RESP.

I have some funds I would like to invest in a non-registered account, which would represent roughy 10% of my total aggregate investments. Can you please provide some suggestions on what you think I should invest in for better balance, while maintaining a medium-aggressive investing style?

Q: Just to clarify further on my previous question. How are the dividend growers valued at right now compared to historical lows/highs/averages. So say CDZ (or something similar) now vs. historical. Wanting to understand how overvalued they may be compared to historical lows/highs through the economic cycles.

Q: 2 question : So bomber has bounced a bit so time for me to suck it up and sell at a 30% loss. Sell now or hold off a few more days to see if it has some legs.

Once I sell BBD.b what full position of the balanced equity portfolio would you buy right now: ccl, gud, nfi, sis, sj, syz, t or toy? Currently rebalancing my CAD equity portfolio to loosely match your portfolio and those above fill gaps in my allocation. Open to off the list suggestions but already overweigh or OK in financials, energy and tech.
