Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (AQN $8.16)
-
Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. (BIP.UN $43.12)
-
Brookfield Renewable Corporation Class A Exchangeable Subordinate Voting Shares (BEPC $47.23)
Q: In your answer to Steve on BEPC vs BIP.UN differential: can you explain why these two should be thought as linked together? I get that BEPC and BEP.UN are linked as they represent the same company.
Would you agree that the growth for BEPC/BEP.UN will be muted this year (servicing debt is going to go up) and financials (US banks) would see better growth potential? Would the growth issue apply to AQN as well (for the same reason)?

Q: I'm looking to add a tech name to by TFSA and was going to pick something from the growth portfolio. Plan is to buy half position (2.5% weighting) now. Any preference between DND or STC today or am I splitting hairs here?
Q: I have a 1/2 position in CJT and XBC, would you top them up to a full position after the recent decline?
Thanks for your service!

United States Oil Fund (USO $75.02)
Q: It appears oil prices are headed up this year but shares of companies like Exxon Mobil Corp. and Royal Dutch Shell and Suncor among others have lagged behind the oil market itself, and stock prices haven’t returned to pre-pandemic levels for a number of reasons that have nothing to do with the price of oil. Is there any other investment vehicle that would better reflect the rise in oil prices? How about OIL on the nyse?
Q: Hi gang, what do you think about this company. SACH . Does it have to pay dividends? How would you grade it? Buying for dividends. 2-3 years.safety? Thanks

Q: Hello 5I
Which path will be the best to follow from a growth prospective with the recent success of the mRNA COVID vaccines, the research that is going into cellular and genetic treatments of diseases and chronic conditions and cancers, the baby boomer population that probably hold a fair portion of the wealth and are hoping to stay healthier longer? Any companies and or ETFS that stand out? Or is this the wrong line of thinking?
Thank you for all you do and have done for me.

Q: Could you please compare these two companies post split. What is the business area differences they seem to very similar.
Could you also comment on their recent earning and potential trajectory.
Vmd raised a lot of money and I don’t see any action
Ptq seems to be more aggressively growing their business and very positive. Vmd is very quiet and not promotional. The both seem to be in an excellent space long and short term.

Q: Please provide you opinion on SHG. It appears that they are competing in the same space as WELL. Understanding that SHG carries more risk, which company has the strongest growth profile for the next several years?
Q: Are REAL and RKT in the same business? I see that RKT is up 100% this week (largely due to a short squeeze and special dividend), but wondering if they are similar? What is REAL's valuation and growth prospects? Would you buy today?
Q: Hello, How come I do not see you recommend ZAG for bond exposure? I saw a recent question where you recommended ZCS for bond exposure. When I look at a 10 year chart, ZAG seems to have outperformed ZCS. Is it because of rising bond yields that you recommend holding ZCS as you predict better performance over ZAG?
Thank you!
Thank you!
Q: Follow up from a question asked by Joseph on April 16, 2020.

Q: Hi 5i,
I’m a conservative investor who doesn’t like a lot of volatility. I want to diversify a little more from my banks, utilities, and Reits to get a little more growth. I like KXS but can’t handle that amount of volatility. Do you think TIXT would be more appropriate? Is it a good time to purchase at $36? I own OTEX and have no problem with its volatility.
Thanks
John
