Q: I appreciated your reply to Keith's question related to family portfolio. Going into retirement we will be receiving enough in pension payments to cover our living expenses and then some... We have looked at this as the fixed income portion of our family portfolio and have built that portfolio with this philosophy for the past 40 years.

As we review our portfolio going forward we are considering not changing our 90/10 equity/fixed split. Our aversion to risk has not changed. We like growth and value (dividend) stocks. We are, as Portfolio Analysis and Tracking suggests, internationalizing our positions. But we are tempted not to go to the 75/25 equity/fixed split it is currently suggesting.

Our questions are as follows: What are your thoughts on our above strategy in general. Would we still look, in general terms, at the same percentages allocation suggested by Portfolio Tracking and Analysis but applied to a 90/10 equity/fixed portfolio mix ?

I don't want to put you on the spot but after reading your reply to RAK re: Top 5 Cdn & US picks I have a question.
In my cash account (high growth/high risk) I own SHOP SQ KXS GSY PENN WELL & TTD. I have done very well over the last 5 years. I'm wondering how you would rank these against your current top picks, perhaps I have become complacent.

Q: I heard an interview with Marin Katusa author of The Rise of America in which he stated companies such as Exxon, Shell, Ford etc. will be forced to buy carbon credits and this presents a huge investment opportunity. I would appreciate your analysis and if you agree how would you take advantage of this opportunity. Thank you for your help.

Q: Positive news for gambling sites with bill C-218 passing today. Its likely not to be implemented for a few months yet, to give time for the provinces to set their own rules. Predicted to be a 4B-5B annual market in Canada.

I have strong conviction in EGLX, the future growth in years to follow with gaming, e-sports and now legal single-game betting. Full position already, in a TFSA, looking for torque, and willing to wait. What's not to like?!

Q: I'm up about 60% on GSY, my current largest holding. I'd like to reduce it a bit and start a position in STLC. I know these two companies are not directly comparable, but as an investment do you think STLC's SP can out gain GSY in the next two years? As well, what's you overall opinion on these wo companies? Q: My ETF RRSP Portfolio is doing okay but when I compare to your Balanced Portfolio its return % is much less. I suspect that this is as expected because of the large number of stocks that make up ETFs and your experience is compiling the BE portfolio with a basket of about 25 5i-researched stocks.

1. If an investor was to implement your balanced portfolio should the initial % weightings be used or the current weighting %s? For example TFII is currently at about 8% but it has increased 140% since added.

2. Are there any holdings that you may be considering reducing or adding at the moment?

Q: Add to a sector and stock in the doghouse recently or pump it into one with some recent momentum. In my registered account, +5yr hold. I own both and just need to decide where to put some cash I have in the account and too samll of an amount to add a new name. I unfortunately added engh just before the tech selloff so am down almost 20%, ENB I added in the lows back in oct and has done really well with the sector rally and paying a silly yields as well. So add to ENB and hope the ride continues or top up ENGH a well run company in a beat up sector?
