Q: My brother in law is asking me about flow through shares.
Can you provide me with some pros and cons of flow through shares.
a sense of the flow through sales industry, i.e. % commissions on the sale of these products.
How risky are they in your experience.
Do the tax breaks / incentives actually warrant the investment?
The sales pitch is that it is for high income earners, is that really because, they are the ones who can afford to lose the investment

Q: SPHQ ETF seems to have a good long term total return performance compared to SPY. When I looked in more detail it looks like Invesco changed the index 3 times since it's December 6, 2005 inception date. I'm trying to validate the active strategy but it's seems difficult to make any assumptions. Is it common for ETF providers to change underlying indexes? I looked at other Invesco ETF's and it seems like they in particular do it for some of there other ETF's as well. I would appreciate your thoughts.

Q: Looking to add some longer duration bonds with inflation and interest rates dropping. You think this is a good move. Already own lpay, zst and cbil and looking for diversification, any other suggestions are welcome.
Thanks and have a great day.

Q: Hello 5i
Could I have your current assessment of Belden? It has done very well over the last 18 months. Can the growth continue? Any red flags?
Thank you
Dave

Q: Hello, can you please share your top 3 names ideally in the tech or industrials/manufacturing sector that most closely resemble Axon of 2-3 years ago:
- Lots of growth opportunities
- Business model with high recurring revenue
- Potential to be industry leaders
- Expensive for good reason
- Chance at doubling over the next 5 years
Are there others you think could grow into that type of business?
Thank you!

Q: Hello 5i,
Post if you like.
As per Kim's question today on drawdown of RRSP and other retirement holdings, there are a few things I have found helpful. Rita Silvan's article in MoneySaver Sept/24 "Boomer Candy" had some great points. Daryl Diamond's book Your Retirement Income Blueprint is worth the read. Finally a fiduciary planner/ tax plan.
Good luck.
Jeremy

Q: What are your thoughts on starting a long term position in LVMUY at this time? How much do their fortunes depend on demand from China? Also, how big is their dividend and how much do they raise it every year? Different sites publish different numbers. Thanks.
Q: what is your option on the out look for 03mining or can you suggest an equivalent stk ?
Q: HI Team,
I was wanting your updated take on TTD. I have held it for a long time in my tfsa and am up nicely on it. Currently it's touched near it's 2021 high. Is it still among your favorite growth companies and worthy of continuing holding in a tfsa for the next 5 years? Do you see big growth from the company continuing going forward? IF not; please suggest a couple names in which you would confidently see as outperforming TTD over the next few years in which I would replace it with.
Thanks,
Shane.

A few years ago I asked for a sector breakdown for Amazon . At the time you suggested 35% tech and 65% CD . Is that still appropriate and if not , what would you suggest now ?
Thanks for all you do

Q: I'm considering buying HDIV ETF. On the ETF website it shows a 2023 total distribution of $1.974 and a ROC (return of capitol) of $ 1.66201 . After watching a video of ROC sometimes the ROC is not a reduction of NAV but just for tax purposes. And in some instances it is actually a return of your own capital and your NAV is reduced. Can you give some clarity on ROC. And how to determine if an ETF in my investment account has dropped in value from return of my own capital or loss of the underlying securities of ETF? My personal situation all my investment accounts are RRSP and TSFSA.
Thanks, Brian.
Thanks, Brian.
