Q: Can you give me an economic outlook for the price of silver, an in depth look at this company since your last comment two years ago and any comments on the recent insider buying by the CEO. Thank you.
Q: Hi Peter and gang,
I raised this question about a week ago but it seems to have fallen through the cracks.
Please comment on FCX which hasn't been doing much of anything over the past 3 years. Is it a hold, buy or sell now? If indeed it is a "sell", please recommend a replacement in material/mining sector.
As always, much appreciated.

Q: Can you give me your opinion of this company? Would you invest? Not profitable but lots of financing from reputable firms and companies.
Q: (1) Can you suggest an ETF similar to FEZ but that includes companies outside the Eurozone (i.e. includes Swiss, Swedish and UK companies). I am looking for an ETF that favors large caps, preferably holds not more than a hundred companies. IEV is the closest I could find but it holds over 360 companies. And VGK has over a thousand (>1200).
(2) Am I wrong to think that holding hundreds of companies tends to dilute an ETF’s performance?

Q: How would you invest in the Defence sector at this time? And would you? On that theme what do you think of BAE in comparison to others in the sector? And are there ETF’s which would be appropriate?
Q: Can you give me the two best ETF’s in the US that you would invest in that hold the best Ai stocks. Two ETF’s to hold for three years. Much too hard to pick the individual winners. It would be my first time buying ETF’s.
Q: Five plus year holder here of Alimentation Couch Tard stock, but can't help but notice the share price has flat lined for a few years now. Revenues haven't grown consistently and ROE & ROIC have been deteriorating YOY for a while now, and enough to make me question this holding going forward. Mgmt must be concerned of their decline, hence the 7-11 acquisition push. Thinking of selling out entirely and moving the position to DSG. Two very different companies, but what are your thoughts?
Q: ATD shares had been doing well until some months ago when they announced an intention to acquire 7/11, and the stock price began to fall. However the owners of 7/11 said they were opposed and appeared to take steps to resist. There has not been any news about ATD's efforts in a couple of months (at least that I have heard) and I would conclude that this is no longer in the cards. But the share price continues to decline.
1. Are you aware of news indicating ongoing efforts by ATD to pursue that purchase?
2. Do you have any insight why the share price continues to decline?
3. Would they be (much) affected by tariffs, if that should ever happen?
4. What is your outlook for ATD going forward?
Many thanks for your excellent service

Q: Hi 5i
Thanks for all your great work, as always.
What would be your recommendation for a covered call international etf . I am looking for income and diversifying to outside of North America. I would appreciate a couple in CAD and a couple in USD if possible.
Thanks!
Murray

Q: I know you like pipes, including ppl. My question is why has ppl underperformed since the highs above $60 in Oct, Nov of 2024.
I am ready to buy ppl, but am looking at the entry point. It is still retrenching, so wondering if there is any reason. Is there reason to believe it has based, in which case I would enter, and hold for quite some time, for div and capital appreciation. Thanks

Q: Hello 5i Team,
Currently building out a small portfolio for my son, with a VERY long time horizon (30 years +). Looking to add U.S. exposure, but instead of picking individual names, I thought I would do this through an ETF or two. Was considering putting 50% of the US exposure into SPY, and the other half into VGG. An alternative to SPY would be ZSP, which I can buy in Cdn. dollars in Toronto. Your thoughts on this strategy and the allocations?
Thanks very much!

Q: Is there some place in the Web where I can see all the individual transactions for a stock for the day?
TMxmoney will give me the last 50 or so, but not the history for the whole day.
Thanks

Q: Good morning 5i staff
A couple of months ago I sold pbh for a tax loss and bought a Td for a replacement. Since that time atd has gone down close to15%. I am now thinking about selling it for tax loss. Even if I buy pbh or some other stock for thirty days, I would rather own atd. Do you see any catalyst in the near future that would cause atd to rise quickly.?
Thanks as always for the great service

Q: A two part question having to do with the sharp drop in TFII but more about the reliability of 5i data and institutional trading.
Firstly 5i shows institutional holdings at 1.02% while several other site show it at over 70%, that's quite a discrepancy.
Secondly when one sees heavy volume trading it is assumed that it is the institutions moving the stock. With a sharp drop it is assumed that they are selling. My question would be who are they selling to?
