Q: Hi Peter,
I have been holding onto DND. After the news on the decision to remain a public company, I was glad indeed at the decision made.
If management was willing to take the company private at $50.50 and now the committee that was formed decided that there is more value over and above the $50.50, I am surprised that the stock is selling off . It’s actually now on sale as far as I am concerned and I have been happily adding to my position.
Could I get your thoughts?

Q: As a new subscriber, I’m thoroughly impressed with your advice and 5i Research services overall - thank you for all that you do.

I currently hold ABBV, BMY, CVS, and GSK in a long-term hold, diversified RRSP portfolio. I’m not necessarily looking to add further healthcare exposure, but am very interested in the long term prospects for MRK +/- ISRG and would appreciate your opinion on them. And compared to my existing companies, would there be a suggested ranking of these six in terms of potential for long term compounding growth?

Q: I have not had funds to start a position in APPS until today after trimming some gainers that have grown too big in my portfolio (all 5i suggestions so thank you very much!). APPS has had quite the run in the past month (up 30%). Do you see this as a BUY today? Has it run too far? Do you recommend initiating a position today or would wait for a pull back (suggest a good entry point)? Do you still like this one for the long term?

Q: Thank you for your very appreciated service.

My question is, how can an investment in financial services like SLF be bullish when bond rates go up. My understanding is that the value of the bonds held will decline in such a scenario so SLF's balance sheet will be negatively impacted as well. Enlighten me, how does SLF benefit from a rising interest rate environment?
