Q: When 5i subscribers have done there homework and have made a decision to buy a stock for as you suggest a 2 to 5 year hold, why do so many of the daily questions concern a one day drop in price. Do you think that these daily watchers are just day traders and wondering why they cannot sleep at night?

Q: Hello Folks:
We are seniors who would like to place 200,000 from a 1,300,00 investment account (all stocks) into a top rated Canadian based S&P 500 index fund. Another good alternative may be Berk. B. shares. Growth is more than income as they will reside in our TFSA accounts. I do understand Vanguard & Berk. B. good options, however have little practical knowledge; particularly with taxation issues.
You folks are truly amazing!!!!

Q: NPK seems to be on a bit of a break out the last few days. Do you feel that is due to fertilizer prices? Nutrien has gone down because of accepting lower prices in China while NPK has only 3% of the market in Brazil where they have plenty of room to expand their market. Are the prices in Brazil , where they use a lot of fertilizer ,rising or falling? Is the currency in Brazil strengthening or weakening? Thanks, as always

Q: Apart from Big Tech, are there any names (in and out of the tech sector) that 'should' be able to capitalize on the rise of AI in the near to medium term?

Q: Question for the 5i team. I took over our investment accounts about 8 years ago and since then bonds were not particularly attractive. As bonds my be about to have their day in the sun I feel it may be time to consider adding them to our portfolio. I however lack the knowledge and experience to make informed decisions at this time. The first part of the question is, can you recommend any informative reading or sites that would be of benefit to a novice bond investor. The second part would be a quick summary of your outlook for bonds, longterm, short term, etc and opinion as to which bonds, ie treasuries, to junk, would offer high yield without excessive risk for young retirees. Thanks for all your helpful and sage advice.
Q: What are your thoughts on BUD?
Is it a buying opportunity?

Q: Do you prefer Stryker to Medtronic. Would you advise selling Medtronic to buy Stryker at this point in time. Thank you.
Q: Now that US Banking "Crisis" appears to be out of the press, if not completely over, how do you view one of the most beat up Regional Banking names, PACW? Is it a buy at less than one half tangible book value?
Q: What is your general feeling of Magna for next 5 years? What hinders growth? Would you move on, and possibly what is a better choice?
From a consumer perspective dealers seem unable to meet auto delivery demands (long wait times) and I would guess this should mean high demand for the Magnas of the world.
Thank you!

Q: what do you make of this deal between Hai and ET?how far is this deal done?
It called for ET buying Hai for $4.5 so there is still about 10% upside here.
Would this be an easy trade right now to buy Hai for $4 .If there is no takeover ,what would be the fair price be for Hai you think?
Are there insiders owning Hai and what are the positions.
Same as for ABST takeover.wouldn't it be good to buy ABST right now?or is it all too risky? Thanks

Q: Hi,
We’ve held the FINX on/off for many years. In the past it has served us well, I had unfortunate timing on out last purchase and we are down 35% (in registered account no tax benefit for loss). What’s your current opinion on the Fintech space going forward….. do you seeing it doing well over the next 3- 5 years?Any major concerns with averaging down on this one?
Thanks for all that you do!
Kerri

Q: I would like to add to above existing positions.
I believe that CSU dropped enough to make it interesting after recent new highs. LIN looks like a steady large company with a good future. GEI has a nice dividend and good analyst reports.
Please give me your opinions on each.
Thank you
