Q: Re registered plans, your very useful reply to John on 30/10 was 'With lower rates on capital gains, it is better (for most investors) to have equities outside of a registered plan where withdrawals will be taxed at the highest rate.'
My question is, can a person transfer equities from a RRIF (or an RRSP) to a non-registered account and replace the withdrawn equity with an equivalent valued security/ies. And if so, is the withdrawl from the RRIF or RRSP considered a deemed disposition and taxable?
Thank you kindly.

Q: Since announcing Baltic Power and Hai Long off shore wind projects committing $10.2 total credit financing in mid September, this stock is down another 20%. Have they bit off more than they can chew creating another AQN situation? Do you recommend selling at this point?
Q: When doing my research, how much validity should I place on Morningstar Analysis Price Target and 3/4/5 start Ratings. If there is a $16.00 price difference to todays price. How valid is that??

Q: Is there any news on Granite REIT or is it falling due mostly due to expectations of rising interest rates? It appears to have dropped below any recent support levels. Being down 15% in my holding, is now the time to add more or perhaps move out of REITs all together towards another sector (which) or another REIT (say DIR.un)?

Q: I am trying to get a better understanding of the cash postion for Tesla. I have read, heard people state that Tesla should buy back stock, I have heard people say that they have lots of money. Looking at the balance sheet, the cash position is exactly what I hear people state. They have $26B in cash (plus about $2.5B in receivables); however, when I look at their current liabilities, it is about $26B. Am I wrong to think that their net cash position is position pretty close to 0 (plus the $2.5B in receivables). And if we consider that their cash position has not been growing in leaps and bounds, they do not really have very much cash as their current cash position would be required to pay their current liabilities. Is my logic correct (if not can you add a little explanation as to why not)? Thanks.

Q: Hi Peter/Ryan, in my RRSP account I have 100 shares of BN and received 25 shares of BAM . BAM as you know has the better dividend. Would it be wise to sell the 100 shares of BN and by the same amount of BAM, just wondering. Thanks, Nick
Q: Hi Folks,
I have a fairly well diversified and conservative RRSP portfolio but I am a little overweight TD and the financial sector in total. I am thinking selling some TD and buying a 3% position in LIF. I have nothing in the Materials sector. Can I have your opinion on LIF and on whether or not this is a wise trade at this time.
Thanks

Q: Hi 5i Team,
I am thinking of getting back into INO for the dividend. I have owned it in the past but sold it before the market volatility.
At the current share price it looks attractive but do you think the dividend is reasonably safe? (Recognizing you don’t have a crystal ball)
And do you see a more optimistic future for INO if interest rates decline next year?
If you think there are better REITs with comparable dividends any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks for all you do!
