Q: My question is really about CSU vs NVDA & how do you believe the accessibility of AI becoming more common for people & also for companies will effect CSU. Will the products and services CSU is selling become obsolete with AI ? Thanks!

Q: Hello, can you please share your top 5 candidates for potential multi bagger returns within the speculative part of my portfolio? I'm fine with taking on the associated risk and would likely hold within a TFSA as a smaller speculative portion of my portfolio.

Q: a sunlife life insurance policy was purchased for grandchildren as an investment for them on the advice of a financial planner- I am embarrassed to say so far $9000 in annual premiums has been paid, with 11 more remaining before the policy is paid in full. If I cancel this policy it will be a loss. However; the dollars which would have gone to sunlife could be used for a better investment. Your suggestions would be welcomed. Thank you- (P.S.- I submitted this ? a moment ago-but my screen went black so I don't no if the ? was sent the first time)

Q: Good Morning
Am I correct that these three TD Waterhouse Savings accounts TDB8150, TDB8155, and TDB8159 are EACH separately insured to $100,000 by Canadian Deposit Insurance Corporation? Even if all three are in my Cash account? I am just wanting the safest place to park cash for awhile with decent interest.
Thanking you........ Paul K

Q: Hello 5i,
We are retired and in our mid 60's. We and have started pulling out 5% of our RRSP portfolio each year to pay bills and take vacations. One of our laddered GIC's came due on Monday. We can choose a 5-year at 4.59% but this is in an RRSP which we will pay 20% tax on upon taking funds out. Our equity to fixed income is 65 equity/35 fixed at this time.
Do you have any suggestions other than taking a 5-year GIC at 4.59%? We would be ~70/30 if we select equities.
Thank you
D&J

Q: Hello 5i Team
From review of various questions I surmise that that 5i mainly uses Bloomberg Terminal and/or Refinitive EIKON for research. However I realize these data packages due to monthly prices are beyond an individual investor.
Therefore I am trying to compare the various subscription versions of TIKR Terminal versus the subscription versions of KOYFIN which seem to be more reasonable. I have signed up for the "free" access versions of each to explore their features and I am quite satisfied with what I see. The choice is now which product to use and what subscription version to sign up for.
Does 5i use either TIKR Terminal or KOYFIN service and if so which subscription level do you use?
This may be best addressed as a blog article exploring both packages.
Thanks

Q: Hello, this is about your answer to a member about the valuation of CP versus CNR today. In your answer you stated that “CP is now cheaper than CNR on valuation (21X vs 24X).” Do you refer to the P/E ratio here? It appears there might be some discrepancy between the numbers you provided and what I found on TMX Money (P/E ratio 25.99 for CP vs 20.37 for CNR). Then, is CNR cheaper than CP? I am just trying to understand correctly. Thank you very much

Q: I read about this company recently and bought a 1/2 position.
In reviewing a 1 year and a 3 year and 6 month chart fix out performed apple, MSFT,meta,AMZN . Which for an industrial company I found interesting.
My question , did something unique occur in the past 3 years for this outperformance and if not does the future look as bright

Q: Hi Peter, Ryan, and Team,
When a member asks, for example, what are your top five picks...., but doesn't ask 5i to rank them, are they ranked in your answer? I notice that in your answers, the stocks aren't in alphabetical order, so does that imply that you've ranked them?
Thanks for clarifying this.

Q: As per Hussein's recent question, I too was under the impression that the Flutter listing on the LSE was moving to the NYSE and our shares, if they were on the LSE would be moved to the NYSE automtically. Is my understanding wrong and they are in fact going to continue with listings on both the LSE and NYSE??

Q: What are your thoughts on CWB. They are down 10% over the last 6 months, and pay a 5% dividend. What other banks would be a top choice
Q: I own ECN Senior Unsecured 6% Debentures maturing on Dec. 31, 2025. They are currently trading at 84 cents on the dollar, corresponding to an annualized Yield-to-Maturity of about 18%. I am concerned that this extremely high yield indicates serious doubts as to their ability to repay this debt (in cash). What is your opinion as to the viability of ECN?

Q: Dear Peter et al:
You can call me a "Nervous Nellie" if you want (!) but I am older than you and know that sometimes the story like TD to play out can take a looong time!
If one is sitting in a small loss position in TD, worth switching to another bank like RY or BNS? Or move into a riskier stock like GSY or an insurance co like SLF? I know it is comparing Apples VS Oranges. Nothing against TD. I am sure it will bounce back. But I can "see" it moving sideways for a while. Just an old man's opinion.
