Q: Gentlemen,
In your answer, there is a typo on the first SJ, I understand it is MX ?
We like SJ and it is showing excellent momentum. It might be a takeover target and earnings growth looks good. But.....it will act very differently than SJ and will likely be far more cyclical
Thanks

Q: If I am correct, insiders own a lot of absolute software. What other companies would you recommend buying based on how much stock insiders own which would align them with shareholders and that is good value right now.

Q: Shaw reported a $164MM CAD loss in Q2 2017 due to restructuring. And $200MM CAD revenue from their wireless unit (+93500 new subscribers). It's been reported, so far, business is up 12% in 2018. Stock price is up today (Apr 12) more than 9%. Two questions: How much of this improvement is primarily attributed to management's actions? And, what is your opinion of this telco as an investment vehicle going forward? Thanks!

Q: Hi, Could you please shed some light on your current views about Cineplex. They announced 100 F/T job cuts, which company tried to downplay but obviously market did n't buy it. As per one of your earlier comments, even at current levels, stock continues to be expensive. I have a feeling that there could be more downside and just wondering if it is time to cut the losses and move on. Globe mentioned that Gordon Pape finally threw the towel and decided to sell all their holdings in the Income Balanced portfolio. Your thoughts are most appreciated.

Q: I recently made a switch out of HWO into BIR, as I am of the mindset that BIR should do well (better than HWO) in the upcoming months because of potential bottle-necking of supply of oil in the upcoming months (this theory was mentioned by Josef Schachter on a recent BNN appearance), as well as BIR's current price being discounted significantly from book value. My question is if I should consider starting a new position in HWO at some point in the future, because if the theory about bottle-necking of supply proves to be accurate, then a company such as HWO would benefit as demand for drilling new wells would increase in response. Thanks so much, and I look forward to your response.

Q: I've noticed very divergent opinions on the future of the Canadian dollar versus other currencies. My own opinion is it's headed down but, as you know, these things are difficult to predict especially when unknown political decisions can suddenly change things. Do you have opinions in this area? How do you anticipate the Canadian dollar will perform versus the US dollar, the Euro, the Pound, etc? Do you make recommendations regarding the amount of foreign exposure in investment portfolios based on forex implications. If so, where (US, European, emerging markets, etc.) and what percentage?
Feel free to choose your own time periods if you feel able to answer this.
