Q: We have given our 19 year-old Son $12K to maximize his TFSA. I have advised him to watch North American ETFs, now that we are at the top of the economic cycle. Can you recommend a few individual Canadian stocks with a 6+ year time horizon? Would you recommend any International, European or developing world ETFs?
Thank you!!

Q: Good morning and Happy New Year to all at 5i,

Portfolio Analytics tells me to increase my US and international exposure. Please suggest some ETFs that would accomplish this goal, and at the same time provide a dividend (even a small one) and have growth prospects. This would be for this year's TFSA investments. Thanks in advance for your valued advice.

Q: For the moment, I'm satisfied with each of the CDN and US holdings in my portfolio. But I have nothing that is non-North American. So I'm planning to invest about $50,000 which would be 10% of my current portfolio. I haven't tracked international equities very much and am looking for recommendations. What do you think about purchasing individual stocks ... intending LT (5+ year) hold? Could you suggest 4 or 5 stocks I might look at? Asia? Europe? etc. Finally, if you're not keen on investing in individual stocks, can you recommend a few international ETFs for me to research? Thanks very much. (5i is an awesome resource for me).

Q: Have $20,000.00 sitting in a LIRA account. Please recommend 3-4 ETFs that I can hold for the next twenty years. and drip (no bonds) would like to double every 10 years. Would Dividend Growth ETFs a good choice over that time frame or just growth stock ETFs?
Thanks Cec

Q: Hello 5i team,

My 33 year old son is looking at rebalancing. He has a defined benefit pension. He would like to use VTI and VXUS for non cad exposure. What percentage would you propose for cad, Vti and Vxus? And is there any ETFs that trade in canada that you would consider replacements of those two?

Thanks for all you do!

Q: I'm holding about 21% cash right now and would like to invest most of it in foreign equities to diversify from my mostly Canadian portfolio. Do you have any specific ideas of what I may include, ETFs or stocks? I'm wide open for suggestions. My main objective is capital appreciation but I'm aware that good dividend payers most often do better than non-dividend payers.

Q: My portfolio review tells me that I need to add 20% to the international portion of my current holdings. At the moment, I hold only ZDM. Should I add to that or do you have another recomendation? I also need an Emerging Market ETF recomendation for diversification.

Q: I have most sectors covered thanks to your Portfolio Analytics. Thanks so much. However I have a very large and growing allocation in Vanguard Dividend Appreciate (VIG:US). My international investments (non-US) are small and need a boost. What would you suggest I do to diversify internationally using ETFs?

Q: Good day 5i and happy Easter to all.my current allocation to global equity is 25%of which 7% is mpcf and 18% xdg..I am retired with a divided and growth profile.do you like mpcf as a so called way to have an alternative weight to portfolio or as I am considering dropping it in favour of more yield and add to xdg? And also do you think xdg offers good value at 21$ or would you wait for a pull back? Your input geatly appreciated.tks Larry
