Q: A number of Small/Mid caps seem to be finding a bottom and rebounding nicely over the last week.. I have small positions in these names, what order would you be adding to these names at current pricing? Is there any you wouldn’t add to?

Q: When the offer from Anglo to acquire Teck first came out I believe you were of the opinion that another offer may come out or that the Anglo offer could be amended. I took that to mean that one should hold onto their Teck shares to see how things shake out even though you prefer CS and LUN to Teck.....did I understand you correctly? With BHPs recent moves, things seem to be getting interesting in this space. If you were holding Teck what would you be doing 1) sitting tight waiting for clarity or 2) selling now and moving on to better opportunities - if so would CS and Lun still be your recommendations?

Q: I am considering VEE within a Non-Registered Account and wondering about the consequences in doing so.

- Regarding the impact on my OAS clawback: I don't believe that VEE's current 2.26% dividend is grossed up like Canadian dividends. However, it would be treated like regular income and there is also a slight withhold tax. So to me net-net, with focus on its affect on the OAS clawback, it would appear that holding VEE in this account would have a slight edge compared to holding a Canadian dividend-payer. Would this be correct?

- Regarding Tax Form T1135: Vanguard is a U.S. company, but VEE trades on the TSX. Does VEE need to be included when considering Foreign Income Verification on T1135 ? Or does the fact that it trades on the TSX exempt it?

Q: Good afternoon Troops. 65y/o retiree looking to reduce my holdings and consolidate into an easier to manage portfolio. I have chosen six ETFs to give me some international and US exposure, some using covered calls for income. For the Canadian side of my portfolio I have chosen these ten stocks that would be my core holdings going forward. Can you please comment on this strategy and if these stocks are suitable for my situation. Cheers.

Q: I was underwater with BNS for over a year and I just stopped looking at it. Reinvested the dividends and collected more shares and waited it out. Today my shares are back in the black, up 30%. Nice to see BNS getting some recommendations in the questions too, over the last month or so.

Now I am just waiting on BCE...

Q: What do you think of digital core reit? It is out of singapore but also recently listed in Canada. It pays dividends in US dollars. It may be an interesting (speculative) play on data centres? is it worth taking a bite?

I'm trying to help my daughter (who is in her late 20s) with her portfolio which is a bit difficult because she is morally opposed to several lines of business (crypto, oil/gas, AI, defence to name a few) however I did notice she doesn't have any major CA bank equities at the moment. Some of my co-workers use a different research company who I think recently advised their clients to sell TD. I didn't see any recent questions on here about the CA banks lately so could you please tell me what your preferred bank is at this time (regardless whether I listed it or not.) It will be for a long term hold in her FHSA.

Q: I have owned BCE & T for a very long time. Even with BCE dividend cut I am up a lot (including dividends paid). T is in the doldrums and share price is stagnant. Should I sell these two and buy CGO: low payout ration ROE of 10% but a ton on debt. CGO up a lot this year! Or, sell T and BCE and not buy CGO. I am 77 YO. T & BCE are a small % of total portfolio.
