Q: Slowly building up my TFSA portfolio. Currently have BNS, T, IPL, AQN, BIP.UN and ECI. Thinking about adding ARE and ITP and wondering your thoughts on these companies or suggested alternates. Thank you.
Q: Hi Peter, I am looking to generate income selling options (both put and covered call). Ideally stock has the dividend, some blue-chip characteristics in case I have to hold. , How you view this as a strategy. Please some good US stocks /ETF for this strategy. thanks.
Q: 5i gives BEP.UN a favorable rating. But Accountability Research (AR), in a report on 12 January 2017, rated it as a SELL with a target of only $33. The AR report suggests the possibilities of conflicts of interest with BAM and fears about the high payout rate. Have you considered your rate in light of AR concerns? A detailed reply would be appreciated since I own BEP.UN and planned to purchase more.
Q: Is it possible to quantify the impact of the Nissan contract? The news release didn't include any financial details, but one would presume that Nissan's worldwide supply chain is substantial. Nissan's decision may also expose Kinaxis to an even broader international business audience. Nissan also said they "see this as a long term relationship between our two companies." I have a 1/3 position currently, as a much lower price. Also considering the recent pullback, would you step in for another 1/3 or more at this time?
Q: Good afternoon,
I hold the following stocks in my business account that have a weight of between 6.2% and 8.3%. This account was started in DEC/16 and has increased by 6.7% YTD not including dividends. I want to add six more stocks to further diversify while reducing the percentage per equity down to between 4 and 5%.
My goal is to generate income equal to the amount of corporate tax payable annually. I looks like this can be achievable!
Let me know if I need to share dollar values to help access.
Absolute seems very strong lately, particularly since their last quarterly report was a miss. Anything seem out of the ordinary?
Would you currently choose Abt or et for the tech income stock part of your portfolio?
Q: If the above does not get bought out, is the dividend safe? What is the payout ratio looking like? What are earnings estimates like for the upcoming couple of years and revenue estimates? Thanks.
Q: What are you latest thoughts on TPK? I've avoided it for awhile but I see for the last 6 months or so it's trying to bottom technically - are they resolving their issues? The p/e is not onerous and the dividend is almost 4%. Thanks.
Stephen Takacsy of Lester A.M. has 7.5% of TPK (6.43) . I think you have it as C+ but price when report was done was 8.80. At current lower price would your rating change?
