Q: just a comment to add to genes misery over rbc investing, i am a seasoned investor using rbc investing, been doing this for 25 years and rbc is by far the worst.
what they did with their watchlist is beyond stupidity, it is idiotic, i would love to switch to someone else but i have 15 accounts with them and switching would be even more misery. dave

Q: Have been watching for a while now and would like any insight you can provide into this retailer. It reports next week and was curious as a contrarian investment for the short term.
Do the financials suggest insolvency? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Q: We are seeking income (although capital retention is also important) and wonder if we would be wise to sell IPL which you don't seem big on and replace it with BPY.UN which you seem to like. The sector is not too important as the portfolio has a good balance of pipelines and REIT's. Both companies mentioned have a very good yield.

Q: as a dedicated 5i follower I would like to address rbc direct investing and its new watchlist as it has become the worst tool that they have ever invented and I dislike it so much that I am considering changing all of my banking and investing to another bank. my question is which bank offers the best investing and banking platform in your opinion, thanks for the great service

Q: Have owned this for a few months --basically at a break even on growth but enjoying a 13% Div---would like to buy more but cant figure them out.
Paid 182 consecutive Divs--invest in banks and insurance-preffereds and common paying around 5% or less---write covered calls.Really not that volatile except for Fall of 2018
How do they pay 13%?

RET. is going to buy back shares at a price significantly higher than current market. Please tell me all the reasons it would do this. Q: Regarding previous question about the div. on KWH.UN....I was credited w/ dividend on the 17th June and "uncredited" the same day. So no dividend paid. I called and TD said div. pymt. delayed until Aug. 6.

Q: This is a comment on Joseph question of this morning, I was credited $ .209 dividend per share on June 17, in my TDwaterhouse account . Some brokers will show the credit a day later. How confident are you that this deal will go thru, is it a possibility that it will collapse? Thanks

Q: How will you back test an ETF like VBAL or VGRO which have not been there for long and compare it/them with an ETF that has been there for a long time? For example XIC or VDY....I ask this having your model ETF portfolios in mind. (Both in CMS and ETF Fund update newsletter.)

Q: I am wondering how to classify a stock as growth vs income. In some cases it is obvious. A stock paying no dividend is surely growth (eg TOY PHO BTO ELD). And a stock that is stable, large, and has a solid dividend (3-7%) is surely income (eg ET BCE ENB BNS GWO). Please correct me if this is wrong. But in many cases, it could be either (eg SIS SAP PBH ATB.B FM TECK.B UNH:US).

Could you please tell me how you determine how to classify them?
