Q: Hi 5i,
In a US dollar account (non-reg) I have about 1.25% of my overall portfolio sitting in cash.
My approach with this account is to buy stocks that I don't have to sell for a long period of time and therefore have capital gains.

In my overall portfolio I already own Alphabet (4%),Apple (4%), Amazon (2.5%), Disney (2%), Facebook (1.5%), Microsoft (2.5%), Paypal (0.5%), Tesla (7% soon to be trimmed) Visa (4%).
Given what I already own (and that I would like a stock that is a long term 5-10 year hold) would you add to anything from the above list? Or would you invest in something else such as Costco or Pinterest?

A suggested order of preference would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Q: Would you invest in this ETF if you wanted to participate in the EV trend? What would be a good investment for a more conservative investor who does not like to take much risk? Would you prefer a single stock instead? If so, which would you recommend? Thank you for your invaluable service.

Q: I am investigating solid state batteries as an investment theme. It sounds like the development, production and adoption of this battery technology may be explosive in the years ahead. Are there any under valued US or Cdn companies in the space that you recommend? Also, do you think that like li-ion in the past, investors will latch onto this as a sector to chase in the future?

Q: REALLY ? This company has increased in value six fold this year to a market capitalization of over $ 600 billion , roughly the value of the next 7 largest car makers combined ! The stock has gone from $70.00 to $625.00 this year. Yes, Elon Musk is one smart visionary, but this sure looks like a bubble. What do you think of the company and would you buy the stock? Thanks Derek

Q: I think that our move toward electric as well as autonomous cars might happen a lot sooner than we ever expected. Betting on one stock is probably not the way to go ( although Tesla has done well). I have been looking for an ETF and found DRIV which trades on the Nasdaq. Would you consider this a good choice for some exposure to the sector or is there another that would be better.

Q: Contemplating selling VGT and buying ARKK. The only thing stopping me is ARKK's 10% investment in TESLA. Would you stay away from ARKK given its strong bet on this one stock with a history of volatility? Additionally, how do you see TESLA's price (and therefore ARKK's) being impacted by TESLA's addition later this month to the S&P500? Thank you.

Q: Are there any stocks in the battery space related to electric cars, that you would recommend at this point. Secondly of the companies that are producing electric cars are there any that stand out as a good investment, in your opinion. Any market cap is fine. This could include an ETF. Thank you.
