Q: Hello 5I.
I have held this stock for the past year. With the latest earnings I am just slightly up. On Friday the stock was continuing its run up to 21.10. And then The news came out that the US did not agree to repealing all tariffs with China. With that the stock reversed and finished down for the day. My question is, is this Company’s prospects highly correlated to the trade dispute between China and the US?

Q: I read the most recent press release from DIRRT Environmental on their 3rd quarter release. The CEO Kevin O'Meara made some pretty pointed comments about the company's failure to execute. I have never heard a CEO publically give such a frank and honest assessment of the company's missteps. Is Mr O'Meara a one off or is his rant a normal response from an unhappy CEO
Q: I bought a small position (1.5%) in LSPD two months ago thinking of adding to 3% later on, but with all the news and disenchantment lately regarding the new high growth companies and the failed IPOs, do you see a higher risk on LSPD? I have a long time frame, and was wondering if I am just concerned by short term noise. I do understand LSPD comes with higher risk than most stocks, but wanted to know your thoughts.
Q: Peter; Not really a question but some info on FTS. There is an article in the NYT weekend edition entitled The New Chapter in an Energy Fight which details the fight between power companies trying to build gas powers plants vs renewable ones- Tucson Electric - a sub of FTS now - are building a solar and storage plant for a very low rate vs gas . They are way ahead of the curve .

Q: Between the TOY and CCL which would buy now? I realize they are completely different but I am just looking for some growth in an unregistered account. Thanks for a great service.
Q: Have held this stock since Nov 2018. I’m up 42%.
I’m having difficulty deciding whether to sell or hold. Chief factors playing into my decision are interest rates and fuel prices. Your opinion please.

Q: I've been active in DIY investing for 7 years. Have chosen only CDN listed stocks and, with 5i's help, have been reasonably satisfied with returns over that period. However, despite my stubborn resistance to the US, I cannot continue to ignore that market. So I have 5 forced-choice questions for you. I will invest in 5 of the 11 listed. I'd like your opinion about which one in each group to invest. These are LT holds (5+ years). I'm not expecting a detailed rationale, but would appreciate knowing if your preferences are strong. Or not. Thanks!

Q: Can I get your opinion on Medical Facilities ? The stock price has been crushed ....any chance of a rebound in 2020?
Q: Looks like a another great quarter and 25% dividend hike. Should we expect the market to push the shares higher? Do you think the end game is for the company to be acquired?
Q: Are Dirtt earnings a disaster?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: comments on the quarter please?
Q: Taking a big drop today. Is there news that i missed. This one is usually a fairly steady trader so.....
Q: Many on your tax-loss list show estimated revenue growth > 100%; in more than a few cases, > 200%. In the case of marijuana stocks, this is puzzling, as many argue that prices will continue to weaken.
On what basis, then, should we place confidence in these numbers? Take HEXO, which you observed (last August) was priced at 4X forward sales, has since then declined by 45%, but is estimating revenue growth at 280%: what would it take to find its prospects 'interesting'?

Q: Hi what is your outlook regarding base metals such as Copper, Lead, Nickel, and Zinc?
Q: Hi, Would these two funds be too correlated to each other, or too much overlap to hold for at least five years, thanks?
Q: Would you hold on to this stock? I have a 48% gain. I don’t mind holding for the long term if you advise so.
Thanks
Karim.
Thanks
Karim.
Q: FSZ came out with its numbers. Lukewarm response from the market. What did you think of them?
Q: What do you think of TMX's earnings and the subsequent market reaction? I am thinking, for long term shareholders, today's slide seems a little overdone?
Q: You currently have > 9% cash in the Income portfolio. In the past you have indicated you prefer to be mostly invested. If my memory is correct, your responses to past questions have referenced the Income portfolio being up x% so far this year (now 13%) vs the targeted 6-8%/year, so you are taking your time to find appropriate investments. Respectfully, I would counter with the multiyear performance #s of 2-5%/year (quite a bit below the 6-8% target), so wouldn't you want the cash to be put to work? I know you just added a new 3% position on Oct 8.
So, I am trying to understand...is the 9% cash level is more of a "strategic" allocation (waiting for a pullback...market timing, which I know you don't believe in), are you still undergoing research for the right investment or is there some other reason?
Please note I am not criticizing. I have loads of respect for the 5iR team and have way more confidence managing my own portfolio knowing 5iR is there to provide guidance. I am just trying to understand the purpose for the cash in the Income portfolio. I too have roughly 7% cash and am struggling to find the "right" investment and put it to work.
Thanks...Steve
