Q: I did a screen on "undervalued" companies with growing dividends. My aim is income and dividend growth. Possibly a DRIP if available. Which 2 companies would you choose and why?

Q: My question is about GC. Am reviewing my TFSA positions and am trying to decide whether to continue to hold or move on to something else. Short term seems to be "dead money" but longer term may see return to good growth. I am okay waiting for 3-5 yrs, but not if there is little growth over that time frame. What level of comfort do you have with the management team's near term execution and capex returns? The money laundering issues have seemed to die down somewhat. Do you think that there could be a take-over because of the current valuation?
Thanks

Q: Happy New Year. What do you expect from bad and gil in the coming year? Are you ok with starting a position in bam and dsg today or would you wait for a pullback? T Steve

Q: I noticed in the latest BlackRock circular that IWY (iShares Russell Top 200 Growth) has significantly outperformed IWO (iShares Russell 2000 Growth) based on the latest 1 year, 5 year, and 10 year published returns. I assume you like IWO since it is in your growth portfolio. Can you elaborate a little on if/why you might prefer IWO to IWY and would you endorse a switch to IWY at this time for someone already holding IWO?

Q: Helllo 5i,
My wife and I have about $20,000 each free in our TFSA. We are 73 yrs, value investors with a 5 year GIC ladder mostly in our TFSA. Should we fill it with more GIC's, move some stocks over to the TFSA from a non-registered account, buy new value stock, put in NFI and PSI (5-10 year outlook) or have a mix of all of the above?
Thank you
Stanley

Q: Have the fundamentals on gold changed in the last couple of years? Is owning gold or a big gold company a good hedge? Hoping you can give me insights on what place gold or minors have in a portfolio today.
Thanks
