Q: I am an income oriented investor looking to start withdrawing dividend 5 years from now. If I am looking for a good US high dividend ETF, is SPYD a good choice? I have a small portion, but unsure if I should build it to be a core holding. I liked it because it selects 80 high dividend paying companies from S&P 500. I also have SCHD in my portfolio. There is a small overlap between the two. If SPYD is not good for core holding, can you suggest alternates?

Q: 5i Hello,
I have these EFTs on my RRSP and not feeling happy with them, can you suggest some possible candidates I could switch to, or just sell them all and with profits buy CSU LSPD SHOP GOOG AMZN.
Thank

Q: Hi 5i,
We are older retirees and have held ZWB and ZWH
in our RRIFs for income for many years. I just ran a Quicken report on performance and neither performed particularly well. I am about to switch ZWB for ZEB and ZWH for VGG. We can live without the monthly covered call income and I am assuming the replacements will outperform the covered call ETFs in a recovery. Your comments or suggestions are welcome. Thanks for the service.

Q: Hello Peter and Crew,
Could you please comment on these two stocks that were in favour for a while last year, but as much in 2020. Still worth holding to see where they go? They have bounced from the bottom, but certainly not as much as others in comparable spaces.
Thanks,
Brad

Q: Hey 5i,
Despite the downturn and possibly another.
Dividends have been cut and some more are possible. Oil potentially being the longer rebound.
Is their a recommended best "overall" US Dividend ETF.
Overall taking into account Yield. Growth. MER. Somewhat balanced exposure and or limited oil holdings.
Great work as always. Thank you!

Q: Wondering what you think of this BMO ETF, hedged to Cdn dollars. Volume seems to be anemic. It is a world ETF, 66% US, 31% EAFE, 3.5% Canada. Would you prefer one with solely US S&P 500 companies?
Thanks

Q: I recently read that this company is testing a plant based biodegradable plastic bottle.
Do you have any views?
Would this merit a speculative buy with potential of a huge upside? Thanks

Q: Hello
I have owned some AIG stock for close to ten year now hopping it would recover from the financial recession like a J.P Morgan for example. Now with COVID it appears it will take some time maybe years before earnings get back on-track. Would you replace with Manulife/Sun Life and Intact this side of the border.

Q: Dear 5i,
I wish to purchase the following US listed ETF's;
VGT, VIG, ARKK, ARKW
Can they be held in a TFSA and NonReg account?
Is there a rule of thumb one can use to determine the eligibility of other US listed ETF's?
Who will provide me with the year-end tax statement for the NonReg account? Is it the online broker or the ETF provider? In this case TD Direct Investing or Vanguard and Ark?
thanks

Q: Hi folks, in Q1 results just released, I noticed that Curaleaf has total assets of $1.296B...but Goodwill has increased to $181.465M, and Intangible assets net has increased to $392.342M. Quick math Goodwill app 14% & Intangibles app 30% of total assets. This marks an increase in % from previous Q from app 9% & 25%. Is the increase good...or a red flag...as I thought both Goodwill & Intangibles were negative/bad for company. Could U please explain & clarify so I can understand better. Also, did Q results looks of, and would cura/c be Buy,Hold,Sell. Thanks as always, jb Piedmont QC
