Q: Wow, really getting pummeled today. I was searching to see if there was news re a financing tied to the acquisition announced today, but couldn't find anything. Any news out there that you can see which could be contributing to today's drop. Seems the wind coming out of TFII sails lately.

Q: Hi 5i,
I'm new to the service and joined with the hope of finding an unbiased second opinion on my portfolio of stocks. I had the good fortune of purchasing in my TFSA SHOP ($1200); LSPD ($26.31); SE ($149); MELI ($769.45) and continue to hold. This year, not so good, I had purchased REAL ($18.16); ABST ($13.79); AT ($10.36) which with the exception of MX are all currently in the red.
My problem is that given my current YTD is at -13% I should probably shake up the TFSA. However, when I look at each stock individually I just can't bring myself to sell, I love the growth potential of them all.
I'm (obviously) ok with volatility in my portfolio and I do not anticipate needing the funds for 3+ years. I would appreciate your thoughts or ranking of these stocks in terms of growth potential from this point forward. Are there better stock opportunities I should consider out there for my TFSA ?
Thank you in advance.

Q: Hello,
Could you recommend 5 of your favourite stocks (US or CDN) that provide a healthy mix of dividend yield and growth outlook?
This would be for a Smith Maneuvre with interest rate at 2.95%. Ideal scenario would be to get yield to be at 3% with some growth outlook on a 5 year time horizon.
Thanks very much.

Q: Can I get your opinion on this ETF as a hedge on inflation. Thanks
Q: Reported today that SHOP's Black Friday sales increased by 21%. Is this good, bad or indifferent? What was expected? As of 9:40am Monday market is up but SHOP is down. Thoughts?
Q: The recent earnings report was very impressive and some analysts have a positive rating and outlook for the stock. I do recognize the trend to digital so would like your opinion as to if there is still some potential and upside for this company. Would you consider it a buy?

Q: Can you please explain why LSPD is being hit with all these class actions?
Q: Peter,
I would be quite interested in your very knowledgeable opinion on the Sat article in the Globe re the Bridging Finance Inc fiasco. It smells of Madoff of the North. I find it ironic that they would lend to mid-sized companies that had been ignored { declined } the banks , but the banks were then pushing out the end product as a recommended investment. How with any common sense would the spin sent out by the Sharpes ever pass the sniff test when they claim they were in essence lending to companies that banks would not touch , yet had zero writeoffs. I must be missing something.
How as retail investors are we to protect ourselves when the " experts" look like they were hook line and sinker into a pile of garbage.
Thanks
Paul

Q: Hi Peter & 5i team,
Many investors consider cryptocurrency highly speculative or even risky. Recently portfolio managers are adding crypto to their holdings. What would be a good way for the retail investor to add a small percentage ( if any) to their portfolio?
Thank you for your opinions.
