Q: hi folks, thoughts on Tamarak sale of non-core assets for $123M, and update on record Sept production 70,000 boed, etc....I know a fav of 5i (thanks, full position)...while another analyst said Sell at $3.50 (said paid to much for Delta??)....anyway, that is why I am a long time, happy customer of 5i...not every pick/suggestion can be a winner...but portfolio has never been better since became a 5i customer...merci beaucoup, jb Piedmont QC

Q: Dear 5i
When stocks that payout dividends/interest monthly i assume the share price of the stock temporarily goes down after the distribution is payed . If that is correct would it be wise to buy into that stock at that point when the stock is lower after the distribution ?
Also i can't decide whether to top up my enbridge position or start a new position in pembina . Do you have a preference ? Is it a good time to take on an energy position in addition to CNQ which i currently have ?
Thanks again and deduct as necessary .

Q: Hi 5i Wonder Team,

Can you recommend your top three energy companies (US or Canada) with a solid balance sheet and generous dividend?
I need to round out my portfolio with some energy.
Thanks for all you do!

Q: With the proposed buy price $250 and the current price 248-249, and no additional bids likely does it make sense to sell now?

If I hold will I get an equivalent $ value of IMO shares?

And is there any idea when it would close?

Would we receive all the dividends in the meantime?

If the deal falls through would you expect a 10-15% drop in share price?

Thanks 🙏

Q: I am looking for $US-denominated ETFs to hold within my RRSP/RRIF. I would be interested in both shorter and longer-term names. When I review the questions you have answered and the company's literature, it is not clear if the bonds pay US dollars or are simply US bonds bought in Canadian dollars.

I am assuming that any ETFs that fit my criteria would not result in US taxes being paid as long as they are held directly in my registered accounts. If this is not the case, please suggest ways to ensure no taxes are withheld at source.

Appreciate your insight.

Q: Can you please tell me the estimated forward P/E for the above 4 utilities. Could you please rate from best to worse for potential total return over the next 2-3 years.
Thanks
