Q: My daughter is in mid-career and does not have the time to monitor individual stocks in her portfolio. She already has a mostly ETF portfolio but is wondering what to do with the remaining individual Canadian stocks. TFII, FTS, CM, LMN and TOI amount to16% of her portfolio, are all solidly in the green, but MG, AQN, BEP.un, LSPD and QST are all significantly in the red and amount to only 1.5% of her portfolio. Would you ride the first group which is doing well and just jettison the second group and fold the funds into a Canadian stock ETF? Thanks as always for your advice.

Q: I am overweight both of these names. I am hoping for a recovery pop at which time I will seek to sell down a bit and spread the money out. Can you please give me a few other names that you might suggest for growth at this time? I sold booking holdings at a loss so please exclude that name. I am too afraid to buy back smci due to its wild volatility. I was consider coherent, Motorola, and Monolithic Power but am open to other suggestions. Thank you.

Q: I have held Linamar shares for a number of years but am becoming somewhat frustrated by their performance. Shares trade at about the same price that they traded at in Oct 2020. Apparently investors just do not seem interested in the company. The recent quarter results seemed reasonable but the shares immediately went down $3. So, in today's market what would be your rationale for continuing to hold the shares, or is it time to sell and move elsewhere?

Q: I’m down on GXE in my TFSA and am thinking to add a bit more. It looks like they had a good quarter recently and there’s been lots of insider buying. What’s the outlook like for growth and the security of the dividend? Is there anything else to note other than being a small company in an out of favor sector?
Q: I want to buy some nividia stock. It would be purchased with Canadian funds and some would be in a registered account and some woulld be in a non registered account. My holding time would two to three years and possibly longer. Is it better to buy NVDA-Q or NVDA-NE?

Q: I would like to do some tax loss selling and was wondering if you might be able to rank RBLX, SQ, TOY, GH, OVV, and COW in order from those with the least potential to recover over the next year, to the most potential. I appreciated your help last year on the same topic. If I were to sell them all, are there any you would consider buying back after 30 days? Thanks.

Q: Well announced today that Circle’s growth continues to be excellent and possibly accelerating. The last thing I would think of doing is selling that business if I owned part of it. They talk about unlocking shareholder value. I would prefer they buy more of Circle. Never mind selling there piece.
What are your thoughts on this.

Q: The market clearly likes the new CEO, do you? Does this change your view on SBUX? Or might this be a good time to sell and reevaluate the company after a while? Thank you.
