Q: May I have your latest thoughts on SYM? Has its momentum improved? Are they still reducing their debt, generating positive cash flow and increasing their top line revenue? Are insiders increasing their positions? Still an “show me” story? Any thoughts you have would be appreciated.
Regards,
Jim
Q: I own PRL shares and am happy with their performance. The shares have risen rapidly over the past year and I wonder if shares, either a partial or full position, should be sold. I have seen some data that shows very rapid growth in EPS over the next couple of years .Can you provide key metrics over the next two years that would support your position on this company. Also over this period what would be a reasonable multiple of earnings for the shares? If possible could you factor in its recent acquisition. Thanks.
Q: Looking at Evolve ETFs, I notice that there is limited daily trading on many of them, which means low liquidity. They are also relatively new to the market without much history. Kindly provide your opinion on these.
With thanks.
Q: FYI. Re question from Denise of Oct 11 regarding 1994 ACB election with CRA. My experience is that CRA has maintained details of these elections and can provide them.
Q: What can you tell is about this stock. Dropped from over $100 to $14.00 in last ten years yet pays an outsized dividend. Is it a buying opportunity?
Q: In regards to TD - the issue of accountablity arises. The AML lapses were well known inside the company - judging by the "LOL" internal emails. The CEO has profusely apologized - has he received any kind of consequences? Just generally at what point do the board of directors ever suffer consequnces for these type events - can you cite any examples? Just frustrating that branch managers or tellers might be held to account but not highly paid upper management for their lack of supervision.

Q: Hi 5i, Can you please explain what Brookfield's Oct 9/24 announcement re "Reorganization of Brookfield Infrastructure Corp" means for shareholders like me that hold full positions in BIP.UN vs BIPC. As other 5i subscribers have mentioned, does this reorganization suggest that BIPC will continue to gain vs BIP.UN? Thanks.
Q: The Roundhill China Dragons ETF (DRAG) is not in your system but recently commenced trading on AMEX. It is a basket of the 10 largest tech stocks in China such as BYD and BABA. MER just 0.59% and low AUM for now I know but please give your assessment of this, including Roundhill as manager.
Q: Hey 5i, the 5 stocks above are favoirites of DKAM and I'm thinking about putting a few in my TFSA. Now the problem is Jason Donville loves all of them but I'm sure 5i probably could tell me if they would rank some above the others? Thanks for your help. Cheers
Q: This is not a criticism, but simply a point I am making.
When comparing covered call ETF's, quite often you do not compare the percentage of holdings that the ETF is writing covered calls on. In particular, QMAX only writes calls on 30% of it's holdings, leaving the other 70% to go up and down with the market.
When you wrote your last answer about QMAX, it left me with the impression that they were writing calls on 100% of the holdings, which is wrong, and a bit misleading.
I realize that I am somewhat splitting hairs, but I feel that the percentage the fund is writing calls on is quite important, especially a tech ETF that will swing more, than say a T-Bill ETF.
Thanks for all you do!
Q: I hold NVDA (7.5%), VRT (7%), MSFT (5.5%), AMZN (7%), and GOOG (5%)- all up significantly in registered accounts. Question #1: what is the maximum weight you would be comfortable holding of each of these five stocks? Question #2: I also hold LMN (2.5%), which is barely above water. Deeply disappointed in its recent performance and considering replacing it with either ISRG or AVGO. That said, I'm concerned that adding AVGO puts too many eggs in the AI basket, given my other holdings. If this were your portfolio, would you opt to replace LMN with either ISRG or AVGO? Please explain why.
Q: Greeting, 5i. I will turn 71 on December 31st, 2024. I understand that I must convert my RRSP to a RIF in the year I turn 71 but that I do not need to make withdrawals until one year after I open the RIF. Does that mean I must make the conversion in the next ten weeks of 2024 and can postpone withdrawals until 2026, or can I make the conversion in 2025 and postpone withdrawals until 2027? I look forward to your reply. Thank you.
Q: Hi,
I'm looking to park some Cdn funds in a high interest savings ETF, and use TD as my bank. I found HISA, but don't know anything about the .NE exchange - if you could enlighten me on that - and let me know if there are better products that this, I would appreciate it!
Thanks for all your consistently great advice!

Q: Versabank recently made a new 52 week hi. Is this a company with a substancial growth and profitability platform ahead and one you would suggest as a timely investment?
