Q: Hi

Is KKR like a mini BRK.B?

We presently own BRK.B at about 5,5% of our holdings.

Would you suggest adding to BRK.B or start a small position in KKR.

I understand you can not mention position sizes, but also respect your suggestions.

Q: I have a question about FTN.A (and other split shares) and exactly what happens on the 5 year termination date.

I gather that the preferred could be redeemed or rolled over at whatever the new rate is (not 100% sure on the redeemed part) but on the class A are they redeemed and reissued (so your value stays the same over a different #of shares) or do they just truck along?

I'm guessing the latter as they need to match with the preferred. Can they be tendered if the price is lower than the windup amount (which is rarely the case I know but this is just about understanding the mechanics)?

And lastly are they ever wound up in practice?

Q: I really don't understand how bonds work.
But I sense there is a good opportunity to purchase bonds now that interest rates are close to peaking.
It took me about 2 years to come to an understanding of the stock market. My first stock purchase was a pretty frightening experience, and the next 10 or so were not much easier.
I'd be grateful if you can guide me to some good literature which I can study on bonds and which also covers the current market backdrop.
